Onya slittlehales for taking the event at reasonably short notice , Tracks finished I presume . The track looks good and the squeezes will add something different to the proxy round - I can see a few top running cars getting their wings clipped ( pun intended ;) )

The poor lane in the middle gets squeezed twice per lap ;) How has it worked out when racing?? Do most people give way or does the red mist get in the way when racing?

Remember if its an Aston Martin DO NOT give way to it in the race when going through the squeezes. Oh and dont give way to that pesky little Ferrari of Hoffys. B) :P

Thanks for stepping in. Your a champ.
cheers

Well spotted Phil. Its the only car where the weight is measured in kilograms and not grams. I hope Im not in the lane next to it. ;) I think manimmal's and DB's Astons should run side by side all night, sounds fair and reasonable to me B) :P

Will post some more recent pics over the weekend. Yes the track is complete and running, there are some ongoing landscaping projects, but this will not effect the running of the event. As noted, the track has two squeezes, the first squeeze does not really effect the cars at all (unless somebody is seriously out of shape) the second squeeze is much tighter and has the potential to take all 3 cars off the track, however It will only be a red-mist moment that causes that as there is no real downside to backing off for the squeeze as it provides you a good run onto the short back straight. All in all the track is a nice flowing track and should provide some great racing. I am very interested to see how the variety of cars run, should be fun.

Brett did the driving, we figured given Steve and myself both have cars running it would be best. Brett did about 250 laps to learn his way, then the cars went out at random. Steve's car earnt the pole, other than the obvious 'built for that track' thing, it was putting its 8zillion rpm down well and behaving, my car was still very quick but a bit chattery. in the entire 27 car field there were only about 6 offs, so every car got a fair and consistent drive.

The majority of cars were running well, some quite different to round 1, some looking a bit worse for wear too. can't wait 'til next sunday !!
