Shall be qualifying them Friday arvo

Depending of help the round will be run either Friday, Saturday or Sunday :P

Anybody wants to help or call in - you are more than welcome

My preference is for Sunday - starting at 12

Dave, i think as long as you stay with the one controller, for all cars, either way is good, i always use my own.

I am looking forward to it. This looks like an interesting round. I think it was this track where manimmals all conquering aston didn't get its normal grip levels so it will be interesting to see how Espix does. I think its cool to drive in the proxy where you have a car entered but I think the guidelines are that you don't drive your own car???? Aastes will know. Thats what Triggy did at BMR but it is less than ideal as its really hard on the incomig driver as he hasn't had a chance to practice much or settle in to any rhythm.
I used to Drink too much. I still do but i used to to.

Both Steve, and Chris drove their own cars at the first round of the non podded cars at Steve's, and as you can see by the results, they didn't drive everyone elses car slowly, then speed up when driving their own cars.
Last year i drove my entry 3 times, and most times, looking at the lap times after the race, i drove my car slower than the other drivers.
IMO, i thing it's unfair to have a replacement driver, (who hasn't had any track time up until that point, or maybe just plain slower than the driver he's replacing).
Just ask Smallnails about what happened in the last round!

Just drive every car like it's stolen!!!!!

Wasnt the replacement drivers fault, he was just coming in cold after marshalling for 40mins, straight into a pressure cooker situation even if it was the easier lane.
As you know..........Proxy racing relies on volunteers, i couldn't get angry at the poor kid!

I thought i was doing the right thing at the time, if i averaged out the laps of the 2 faster heats into the heat that dropped a ton of laps i would have been back into the top 10!

This quote is from Steves guide lines to hosting a round!

Quote

• Entrants should not drive their own car in any round. A substitute driver shall be nominated

Then you mention that:

Quote

Both Steve, and Chris drove their own cars at the first round of the non podded cars at Steve's,

The cars that are driven by substitute drivers do suffer But I thought that this was something that we all had to endure.

I'm not saying it was the stand in drivers fault, but it has hurt your result.

Look at it this way, you can only affect the cars you are allowed to drive, which means that, if you want to do a shifty, and you have to step aside because your not allowed to drive your own car, just drive all the others slower, that way, it dosn't matter how the stand in driver drives.
Plus i would think, that the stand in driver would have to drive your car on all lanes, not just the lane you are on!!
but you can still just drive the other cars slower!!!!

But what happens when there is only enough people to drive and no extras? does someone swap lanes and have to drive another car twice but on a differant lane?

Dave, as an example.
on sunday at Steve's, i would rather the you don't drive my car over not driving your own, because you can allways drive mine a little slower, you can't drive yours any faster.
i'm NOT saying you would do anything like that, as i've seen the way you drive, as fast as you can, with every car your handed.

I've never seen a issue with guys driving their own cars in any of the proxy races i've been involved with, and the way i see it, as soon as you change something for a single car, wether it be a controller, or a driver, it becomes unfair for someone.
