Wow never seen that before, nice looking car - does Patto do the decals for it?

I tried the internet which it appears you have and no luck there. Might be worth finding out if anyone has an Australian Motor Racing Yearbook from that era. Scanned pictures may show up something.

I've got a few shots of the high tail Canon livery from that race, will see if the same links have this one - must admit I'd seen it and thought it'd be a good livery to do, but I decided against it, in case Maurizio decides to do this model.

I know you'll do the decals justice Alan.

Just checked a couple of books, but no shots of the car and no mention in the index of the drivers either. sorry.

Ouch, hopefully you have some luck with the rear-end.

If you are desperate, Andrew still owns Miedecke Ford/Mercedes in Port Macquarie. Might be worth a try.

Try the following. However i think the shots are no better than what you have. I think you almost have it covered. Bond and Meidecke came in 6th??

Wrong race and wrong car Paul.

I can't find any more pics anywhere, But do have a mate that went to Sandown in '84 will ask if he has any pics of the car.

Hi Stubbo,
done the same as Phil,
sent a e-mail to a guy who worked that weekend at Sandown.
Hope to get some photo for you.

Sorry guys, I didn't know there were two Bob Jane versions of the 956, was it the same car with different livery ? or another ?

According to the WSPR site, the Sandown car was a 962 chassis #105, built in 1984 for John Fitzpatrick Racing.

The Le Mans car was a 1983 956 chassis #102 which started and finished life for John Fitzpatrick Racing and was written off in 1985, then the remains used to build 962 #112. Apparently Larry Perkins was quite upset about the state of it when the HDT got it. A bit of a clunker IIRC.

I can't be sure, but maybe JFR tried to make it up to Bob Jane about the state of the Le Mans car.

Bullwinkle - "There's always room for one more!"

Not sure if it is legible in the photos, but the rear wing says: Bob Jane T-Marts Team Australia

Stubbo, if you are having trouble getting the EON-FM logo, I'm sure there would be a clear version on a Murray Carter poster.

KK, Thanks so much. I think I can get them done now. The eon logo I have is not that good but fixable. It's good to see both sides to get the right positioning. The main problem is the stripes around the cockpit area. It is much harder to create than it looks.

Thanks again I'll try a set and see how they come out.

A couple of pics of the car at the moment. it's just sitting together. I'm not sure if there was a Bob Jane logo or a boxing kangaroo like the Le mans car. I can always add it later if needed.
