These are some pics of a track I have had some fun on lately , I didn't want to post the owners name on Auslot - Im sure hes proud of his work but he may want to remain anonymous
He okayed the post though so hers the pics . Nice 3 lane track but tricky to get a flowing lap on . The Rally track set infield is a good use of space as well . The trees etc are all owner made and the camp fire even has a flickering LED . More work than I would do myself but no doubt nice to look at and its all part of the hobby. Feast your eyes and enjoy , some good ideas in amongst the detail.
There is also a 3 lane sprint race track at the bottom , it folds up and slides under the main track , nice option to have another track to race on huh

Mr A Non has plenty of time me thinks ....hes not on Auslot so I suppose while we are all chit chatting away , hes in the shed doing all the details .
Some good ideas in amongst the details that I though people may look at for inspiration if they are building something similar themselves . I like the sprint track myself green enough to dress it up a bit but clean enough to race on . Rally track builders will appreciate it more I think. The extra scenery works well on a Rally style tracks better than a multi lane fast race tracks where the cars and fast racing tend to be more important . Getting a deslotted car out from amongst the trees , slowly but carefully , would possibly get the poor innocent corner marshal yelled at by a road raged slot racer. :devil2:

Ths control box has lights and a program on the table, that the stewards are working from. :)

Yes Dennis the hump is tricky to drive , the camp fire in front of the white tent has a flickering LED that works well to simulate a fire. Have you seen the cafe light up inside with the little pictures on the wall and hand made cups n vases . OMG the detail is like the train guys do . Not shown in the photos is the 1:1 kitchenette / bar area - serving true scale munchies :)

It was hinted that there is a kilometre of red wire under the track ? Probably expliains why the slotcar tracks legs are so big ;) Two track curcuits (rally and 3 lane ) two controller plug in areas , two seperate lap counter systems (dead strips) plus street lights and other gadgets like the fire and buildings , pit lane lights , I think he also has a fuse system under the track as well . I would be guessing but it could easily be a couple of hundred metres of wire . The table is at least 6m long and 3 m wide most likely a little more . He has a great set up all lined and air conditioned with a wet bar , TV area and lounge with plenty of room . Most of us would love to have a slot area set up so nice huh .
I still have a cold shed in winter and a hot shed in summer . Summers not so bad but winter is a worry because Rick1776 always wants the group to huddle up - says its to take the chill off ? :)
