Righto, after a long night i have some reults......

Here they are in qualifying order all prepped to go..
Posted Image

Now for the info...in order of how they ran...first line is first impression + weight, followed by driving experience...

ESPSIX
Looks nice, very loose setup, love the wheels....109 grms

New lap record in the first three laps of warm up.,handles beautifully right on the edge, can bite you if pushed too hard..
Time: 6.312

BOSS 302
I like the body, looks a bit worse for wear, also has nice loose mounts.....125 grms

BULK brakes, could dive very late into the corner off the back straight, found the motor to be a bit on/off on my track
Time: 6.468

FIRST CORNER CRASH
Hope it goes better than it looks....99 grms

IT DOES...!!..Super fast, lots of brakes, very noisy but could probably go faster still with more track time…
Time: 6.236

AASTES
MMmm Sparkly, I kinda like it, nice loose grafted pod .In my opinion the fronts look a little small...122grms

Not uber fast, but easy to drive all day long consistently, should do well come race day
Time: 6.765

OSWALD
I really like this livery, pod seems to be not as free as it could be one tyre is badly out of round....89 grms

Plenty of speed and brakes, but suffers from lack of grip...
Time: 6.529

DAVNIC
Another of the big macs, livery done well, nice loose body and pod... 82 grms

Not enough grip to push hard, back of a tad and its pretty stable...
Time: 6.866

KALBFELP
Love the body, nice engineering on the pod graft, although no movement in it, just the body loose when it got to me... 118 grms

Smooth, easy to drive, plenty of grip, a bit low on brakes for my liking. Wrung its neck to get this time
Time: 6.441

MAGOO
Another Mac, what can I say. Pod not as loose as some... 83 grms

Again with the Big Mac lack of grip...??? Potentially much faster but couldn't put the power down..
Time: 6.804

SPRINT
Another yellow fez, this time with air conditioning...another twin post nice and loose.. 90 grms

Lovely car to drive just of the limit, smooth, predictable…just nice really. Could have easily done a hundred more laps with it,..A bit untidy to get under the 6.5 mark though..
Time: 6.495

BLUE 95
Cant go past an M3 for car porn, new gears still feel tight... 120 grms

Ohh mama, very difficult to drive smoothly. Power comes on like a sling shot and brakes like you just put a brick on it..could be the new gear..???
Time: 7.139

TNOE
Yet another Mac, again nice loose body, pod nice also.. 93 grms

Was rather surprised to see this time as this car has huge straight line speed but no brakes. Had to brake MUCH earlier than usual, can still be driven hard and fast once you find the groove.. Also the first of the Mac's to have decent grip..
Time: 6.454

DAVEK
These Porsche's just look good, body just loose but pod slides well.. 101 grms

Very taily when pushed but seems to hang in the slot well, driven a bit off the edge and is a piece of cake to rack up laps..
Time: 7.285

JBATICH
Big and wide, just how I like them....cars that is.....some decals have rubbed off, but who really cares, nice chassis movement and a heavy weight at 124 grms

I WANT IT, for the life of me I couldn't better the time but Gosh I had fun trying though..
Just wont deslot, should rack up a good total in the race...
Time: 6.760

PITLANE
Don't care much for the body style, but love the repaint...well done...also nice pod graft into the scx...118 grms

Rattle's like buggery under brakes, drives just like the grippless Mac's, very taily..
Plenty of poke in a straight line from the slotit boxer though...
Time: 7.276

SPORTSRACER
Interesting looking bit of kit, front wheels could have been a tad further out, see how it affects the handling later on...107 grms

My god what a ride.!!!, too much power for the poor little chassis I feel....not a heap of grip available either...I thought it was going to take off when I floored it coming onto the straight though...
Time: 6.984

FANGIO
God, more Macs than I can poke a stick at, only anglewinder in the pack, lets see how it goes, everything nice and loose too....83 grms

Well, lesson learned here, if you want to go fast on my track with a Mac, go anglewinder with an NSR shark22. Having said that, it's only fast when it's shiny side up....
Time: 6.348

BEEJAY
The other Porsche in the group, the pod doesn't slide in this one though...?? 98 grms

Not as smooth as the other one, seems a bit funny with the power delivery, like its got a button clutch or something...
Time: 7.303

SMALLNAILS
Piece of crap.. :D ....with a fancy new pair of shoes....Slotit F22's to be precise...

Will get faster I think, I've been pretty gentle with the truieng as I got scared of the soft compound...will deslot easily while half the guide is out of the slot though, dont you have a setup block Brad.????, if allowed I will raise the fronts a tad to make it turn in better...
Time: 6.703

Finishing order.....

First corner 6:236
Espsix 6:312
Fangio 6.348
Kalbfelp 6:441
Tnoe 6:454
Boss 302 6:468
Sprint 6:495
Oswald 6:529
Nails 6:703
Jbatich 6:760
Aastes 6:765
Magoo 6:804
Davnic 6:866
Sortsracer 6:984
Blue95 7:139
Pitlane 7:276
Dave K 7:285
Beejay 7:303

The first four cars were all under the existing track record.......the next four were soooo close....
The old record was 6:448

As a side note, I could see no evidence of any "tyre issue" affecting grip.....

The final placing's photo...

Enjoy your glory people, I'm off to bed....

Thanks Tim,

I fear my MJK's are just not doing the job, plus a bit more weight may have been the way to go..

How do my rear tyres look and feel?

Is it possible to give them a lite sanding or is that not allowed...?

They look fine and aren't "smooth" to the touch...still feel a bit "tacky"... for want of a better description.......

Nearly all the Mac's suffered lack of grip and drove very similiar..

Tnoe's and Fangio's were the only two with acceptable grip, even my own Mac with standard slotit rubber drives like the bad one's...
Rather strange phenomenon actualy....

Happy to be fastest qualifier again.. Is the noise gear noise? I always get a bit worried about noisy gears sometimes they are ok but often its a sign of bad things to come. Hope you had fun qualifying them. Do you know how the cars are going to be run? Is it going to be in reverse order slowest to fastest or perhaps in some other way? My cars always go better than they look but lets be honest its not a hard task.

Its definately gear noise, didn't sound "crunchy' or anything, just noisy.......

I'll get a second opinion from Brad next time i see him......

I had an absolute ball doing the qualifying, some of those cars might struggle getting any further than my place, they are so nice I want keep them... :devil2:

At this stage I'm looking at reverse order to ease the driver's into some of the hotter cars to lessen the chance of carnage.... :arggg:

FCC car was noisy from Day one BUT the gear mesh feels O/K, just not quiet! I had a good look at it when I first ran it down here.
