Anyway the reason for the repost is that i found a pic of BMW's answer to the Benz

The BMW has a Lamborghini Espada look about the rear.

I think to remember, that Mercedes put a Diesel engine into the C-111.
They went to Nardo (proving Ground, with large Speedbowl) in Italy to get some Speed records for Diesel engines.
They did get what they wanted, and got alot advertising miles out of it (mainly aimed straight towards BMW).

Didn't Scalextric make a c-111? The back looks right but I don't think they got the front to look as good as the real one.

SCX bought them out in 1970 ..... back then the two company's talked to each other and SCX made them under license from Scalextric.

Nice bit of photoshopping there, changing the colour each time. No-one in their right mind would confess to owning more than one of these ugly things. Right?
