I just recently purchased a Ed Bianchi built 4 lane HO roadcourse, it was setup for a dead strip timing system from Ed with the cable already hooked up to the track but the other end has no jack or cable connector. I was wondering if I can wire my own connector to it and use the deadstrip timing system on my computer. I would tell you what I paid for it but I don't want to be arrested for theft, lol, but I could not pass this opportunity up. Below is a pic of it.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Here is a pic of the track. Not sure what you mean about what kind of dead strip it is. It is the type of cable that comes with most timing system kits, such as trackmate. But the computer end of the cable has no connector. I have Trackmate and Slottrack 10 and as far as the pins I am using, that is what I am asking, can I hook this up to my computer without having some kind of circut board? Thanks.

What version of Trakmate do you have? If it is the windows version you need an interface board BUT if it is the DOS version you cab connect to a PC. I think I may have the pin out for that.

I have the windows version but might get the dos version since I am going to be using a different computer once it is up and running. I still would like the pinout if you don't mind. thanks.

The windows version needs the interface board from Trakmate. The DOS version needs to be purchased. The pin out for the strips is the same as for teh IR sensors.

I have Ed's email address, you might like to ask him yourself... PM me I won't post his address here in case someone who shouldn't have it trolls it.
