Nothing :)

Gluing the track down isn't a good idea. The track expands and contracts as the temperature varies so it'll buckle if it isn't allowed to move.

My layout stays horizontal so I don't attach any of it.

You could try some form of clip that will allow the track to move a bit.

I was thinking about the track moving due to temperature and one suggestion was to glue plastic just under the actual slot, say every second or third one if you know what mean. So I'm not just to use wood work glue or something stronger.

I have seen the clips you can buy, but I'm not too keen on using them

I have created some hills and banks and would like to have crossfall (3%) on all the corners so I need to shape the track some how.

Cheers

To date I've been using wooden supports on my sclay track running along beneath the straights or where the track winds up a hill using a cardboard support (picture mount board - leftovers from framing jobs) which is just the right thickness to slot in the inside edge, the slot where the borders slot into.

I'm currently working on how I'm going to solve the problem on a more permanent basis. Thinking I'll pretty much create a substrait for the track of either sheet styrofoam or light weight mdf to support the track.

i put a blob of silicon under the centre of every 3rd or 4th piece, the size of a 5c piece. It holds it in place but still allows a little movement and if you want to change it, it easily peels off leaving no damage
