Hi KP,
what are you actually looking for?
From 1st to 2nd row and so on, staggered F1 style?
Let me know, got a CAMS manual, should have all that information.

three go on one row, then two on the next a car length behind etc etc etc..

I only have two lanes on my track. Maybe later I'll create a proper start grid that tappers back to two lanes.
Could be interesting if the straight lane changers were shorter.

Hi KP,
sorry, it took a while.
But what you expect when the Confederation Against Motor Sport does a book.
Got the answer now from the Starter of the AGP.
The gap is 16 meter from row to row for the F1 staggered grid.

Thanks for that.
So to get this right, on a two lane track going from the pole car in lane one the second car in lane two is 16m back, the third car (behind the pole car) is 16m back from car two and so on.
So in total the start grid for 6 cars on two lanes is 80m in really life and 2.5m in scalextric. My straight is not long enough for that.
Might have to shorten it up a bit.
Thanks

KP,
I think ity is 16 meter from 1st to 3rd and so on and 16meter from 2nd to 4th.
It is 8 meter from 1st lefthand side to 2nd righthand side.

So in the 1/32 scale you are saying:
1-2 = 250mm
1-3 = 500mm
This is a big gap.
But if you halve it again it looks good.
1-2 = 125mm
1-3 = 250mm
this looks good on my track with 6 cars on two lanes.
