Are you still planning to leave the NSR tyred cars out in the sun so that the MJK tyred cars have a chance of being competitive. :)

To be honest I only looked at the top row of cars some very interesting ideas I will reserve my Judgement until I drive them which should be on Friday for the time trials. Then Saturday Arvo for the race. I will probably have a good look at the cars during the week to make sure there all within spec, but Im comfortable enough with aastes to have done the right thing.

Cheers

I have also found some cars that do not comply with the clearance rule, while some are very minor and probably due to lack of building skill. Other are to severe to ignore and will have a CG advantage. I will seek advice from the committee on this issue.

Racing tomorrow, this will be very interesting as some of the slower cars where very stable and easy to drive.

Big rev over powered motors , too much weight = fast tyre wear . as some cars are entered with barely a wisker of clearance above the minimum of 1.6mm , I would guess that some are low already because it wouldn't take much to rip the softer tyres down fast . I haven't seen the cars yet so Im guessin here but I must say I thought a few would get too low mid way through the proxy and need new rubber . The turtles of the pack may shine through in the end when all those fast rabbits need to stop under a tree for a tyre break ;) :D  Makes it all the more interesting I think .

I think the tyre thing is down to the track owners...............if it is going to touch track or braid then you have to change the tyres or not run em,

You got to remember also, high powered cars on ferrodore is like running on a truing pad for a full race!

OK All is good ;) , in the spirit of racing and as the track owner it is up to me to decide if the cars are allowed to run or not so heres my explanation, with out flamming anyone. Most cars do comply some of the sidewinder gears didn’t pass and I made a comment early on when asked by Aastes about the clearance rule. that even some standard car out the box wouldn’t pass. There is one car in question who has built his car to be very low and IMO has made a bad choice in tyres and will probably need a change of tyre if not at the end of round 2 definitely at the end of round3. So well done to all that managed to comply with the rules. LETS RACE

Far out Hoffy I can see your head from here :P

And also considering that Wayne chucked in a handful of dolomite for each 500ml of ferrador he used....

Hows it go again Rick, Hat, Coat...

Hmmm, interesting time results. In the first round the difference between the Top and Bottom Qualifier was only 0.77 secs and now in this round it's 1.23 secs. which seems to suggest that Imkouwl's track is showing up the speed differential between the cars much more - longer straight? Also noticed that the MJK-tyred cars are getting right up to the peaky end this time. Should have an exciting battle coming up. :arggg:

But seriously, it goes to show how different grip surfaces make such a difference. I'm chuffed!

Now i'm nervous to see the results!

Congratulations to the winner. Congratulations to all the drivers who drove real well, especially in avoiding the Besa Brick with wheels. 148g whoosh, my steel chassis 1/25 TransAm doesnt weigh that much!! When you got nurfed by it you knew about it. Must admit it handled like it was on rails, partially because after running on the lanes there were noticable ruts in the track surface. :arggg: :chase:

Lets just say that I dont think the winners car will be returned to the owner. Eveyone wanted to keep it. On this track it was a bullet and in a class of its own.
cheers
