On Friday the 19th BMR will host the First round of the BMR EXTREME SERIES.
Open to 24th and 25th scale cars running the same chassis, motor, wheels and tyres as the Trans Am series in a demolition style win at all cost event.
Bash em, crash em, destruction.
Be there or be....umm somewhere else.
This is my 67 Chev Malibu SS396 Twin carbed Tunnelrammed Big Block with velocity stacks.
Protective mesh fitted to all windows for driver safety.
Deflection device fitted to front.
I call the livery "leftoversparedecalexpolsion" with a splash of navy.

Jesus Damo ya don't waste any time , I only mentioned the idea the other day and your already to race ! Yeehaa ...... I like the name EXTREME SERIES - crash n bash racing we'll go with that . Nice work on the Malibu and damn fast work as well :nice: and I thought I was the only one with heaps of time to play around building slotcars
The front end on ya beast looks like its ready to flip the opposition over and out - All we need to decide is who do we chase down first BRK12345 or Imugford :D
I think I will mount a machine gun turret on my old yank tank :snipe: Im using that 57 Ford Fairlane body I was given a while back with the rear wheel arches already hogged out of it . I will post a pic of my machine next time , no photos yet . :huh2:

Ducked out in the shed for some Quickie phone photos top pic is the start of the roll bars / bracing to help the roof stay on when you ram it and some flared guards so its real w i d e and s t a b l e bottom pic is how it was before the glass etc got ripped out of it

She was sitting idle in the wrecking/spares box so all I had to do was glue in the posts, throws the decals at it and glue in the mesh. :D

I'll be looking for Chris first. :snipe:

Ok hows this format sound Termite
We can run "X" amount of laps on each lane - "X" because it depends on how many turn up Friday night if its just 4 or 5 of us and not enough to have marshals then something like 40 - 50 laps per lane . If we get more people then we can drop the lap count to 15-20 per lane ?
eg If we run 50 laps per lane , first to 50 wins that race then swap lanes and continue until we have a winner overall with 200 laps
NO marshals so ya have to run around to put your own car in . Hey I may actually drop a few calories - who said racing slotcars doesn't keep ya fit ? Well err yes um - up until coffee and cake 1/2 time break or beer n pizza again ?
The idea is to tag the opposition out of the slot and accumulate as many laps as you can before you get tagged out yourself. Its the same as any other practise night but instead of just lapping around and tagging / racing each other we actually can say we have a winner .
Glad to hear your gunning for Chris or is that just a decoy and your really after me ? Doesn't matter we gotta aim to get the one with the most laps out so we can catch up !

We have 6 confirmed players for this Friday night and some that were sorry to miss it but they have Xmas work shows to go to . If any of you remember Gary Des.... from a couple of years back he raced with us at the South City nights , hes back in Adelaide and 3ofus is bringing him around on Monday night for a play on the track , come along and say GDay .

Okay I managed to finish a car for tonight , Dirt car ready to go , slightly underdone paintwork but its a bomber so whatever scrapes off onto your car will just make your car look better  Checkout the driver ....he's looking to tag you out of the slot and into the wall - gotta buy myself a decent camera one of these days.

Here ya go some pictures below , lots of biff and bang , amazingly no damage ? We just didn't try hard enough ! Thanks to all that turned up , enjoyed a few coldies and some munchie foods and played until 3:30am !
The night started with some test n tune time on the track then we moved into some serious car bashing - Heaps of desloting / tagging each other out , even a few full rev slams into the barrier at the end of the main straight didn't kill off the cars ! I bet if they were our pride and joy bodies they would have broken . Only injury was a couple of wall plugs snapped out of two bodies - glued back in and away again to do battle .
Not all cars ran with the Trans Am chassis set ups so there were a few different motor / chassis combos on the grid ( Termite obviously running an oversized motor on the truck ) Still the cars were all still quite closely matched in power until BRK put the green 63 Chev onto the track - That standard issue Parma Super 16d seemed to rob more than its fair share of Amps <_< The Plafit Cheetah II gained 1/2 a second a lap when BRK was deslotted ?
Dragged out the FJ / FX Holdens for a play , fast and furious racing we all wore the tyres down a fair bit - wasn't surprising with around 2000 laps put down . Termite has bought a FJ now for next year to run along as a support with the Trans Am cars in the 2009 series ( nice pink paint job )
Heres a few pictures of the cars - Termites oversized motor is the last photo , a few cars didn't make the photo session - next time

So guys when would you like to race the extreme bodies again ? Keep the Trans Am body in one piece for the T/A race nights and thrash around with a hack body on the T/A chassis
