I have set up an email count called dupr2009@startline.net.au (which will be operating after Midnight Sunday 14th Sept) only because that inbox has no size limit and I can access it anytime rather than have someones PM bounce.

You can either run a chassis/motor/rear axle in one piece ‘as supplied’ in GROUP 1 or run a RTR podded chassis or graft/engineer into an existing chassis a mass produced motor pod in GROUP 2. This will give entrants a choice as to how much engineering they are willing or able to undertake.
Due to the outstanding interest being shown in the 2009 proxy and in order to give hosts a better chance of running rounds which don’t last all day long a maximum limit of 32 cars per Group has been set. You can enter either Group but not both.

Please use this email address when asking how/who to make payment to. If paying direct please call it DUPR2009. If paying PayPal I will sent an email request (hence the need for your email) for payment.

You don’t have to send your car till next year but in order to secure an entry in the Group of your choice remember it is a first come first served basis. At the time of entry please state which GROUP you wish to enter. Once entered you will be allocated a number. With 32 places in each group there should be plenty of room for everyone.

Yep - auto response all set up with bank details, address for snail mail etc

The email will also be autoforwarded to my office email and home email so there is no chance (famous last words) of it getting lost in the system or of my PM box getting full which it does on a regular basis despite emptying it

I thought it a safe way of doing things - its worked well in the past for me

Hey aastes

Have you got any updates on the number of entries so far from lunchtime? Its quite interesting that group 1 & 2 are very even. I actually thought it would full up faster going by the pre-reg.
A list of entrants names & there group would be fantastic if you get a chance.
Thanks
Greg

It interesting that the entries are almost 2 to 1 non podded to podded so far, judging by previous posts I was expecting different results, its shaping up to be an interesting one. BTW, when do we have to nominate cars, if at all?

Some interesting overseas entries listed above, including the guy who kicked everyone's a$$ in this years Canadian Proxy and the Race Across America proxy. This is going to be an international event and whoever wins will be right up there with the world's best proxy builders.

Just thought I'd add a bit of pressure to everyone building a car. ;)

Cheers

Paul

He might be going for the first "Grand Slam" winner

Now wouldn't that be something to brag about!
