I picked up a battlefield tower today which I think will look OK as a TV camera tower. I'm thinking of painting the frame silver to give it an aluminium scaffold look. You get two in the kit for $22.

Depends what era your other scenery is but I would leave it as it is or have the treated pine look.
At 1/32 scale it might be a bit bulky in silver/grey.
Good find. Someone else has been looking for a tower similar to this so hopefully they see this post.

Nice lateral thinking Camber. You can even use teh barrels as garbage bins for the crowd!
I didn't know Italieri made 32nd scale military stuff. I'd better go look at the hobby shops

Nice idea about the bins, I was wondering what to do with them. The guns should keep my homies on their best behaviour
As a side, can anyone advise how to have photos display in the thread instead of having to click a link?
Thanks

Hi Camber
yep, see the picture below. On the line of wee icons, the 4th from right is for inserting images.
Click that, and a pop up box will appear. Type into it, the address of that link in image-shack and hit okay, ro whatever it is.... it's that easy.
Or, if you're dead cunning, just type the image address directly into this page, then enclose it either end with [ img ] at start, and [ /img ] at the end
(leaving out the spaces I used between the square brackets and img, to force it to as regular typing above!!)

When you open the pic in ImageShack, You'll have the option of either, HTML, Forum, Alternative Forum, Instant Messenger, or Direct.
Copying the "Forum" link directly to your post will give you a "thumbnail" type pic, like this.
Or copying the "Direct" link, then clicking on the "Insert Image" button (second on the right to the smilies button) in the reply window, then pasting the link will give you a large pic like this.

Decided to go with the aluminium look...I am pretty happy with results. Just need a cameraman and camera now.

the wooden things would make a good basis for a Marchall's post.
That looks grouse. I need to go shopping!
