Qualifying?

Ah yes Qualifying in running order. Updating as we go. 20 laps per car run in middle lane with Gazza driving.

Kalbfellp-Smooth consistent but a bit taily. 4.091
Sprint-Touchy on throttle but blindingly fast. 3.726
Magoo-Chattery under acceleration. OK grip through corners 4.117
Imugford-Shallow stiff guide. Deslots under acceleration. Has potential. 4.229
Espix-Taily but quick. Twitchy at limit. 3.929
Manimmal-Smooth but twitchy at limit. A bit light. 4.192
Sidecar-Smooth easy to drive. Sleeper. 3.949
Hellrazor-Lunatic-Light and fast. 3.737
Fangio-Handful but hangs in there. Tight rear end. 4.011
Imkouwell-Tyres finished. Fit new ones before race. 4.378
Aaestes-Twitchy but smooth. 4.158
Anthony-Smooth consistent. 3.988
Sports Racer-Smooth but not as good as combined effort last year ;) 4.071
Gazza-Smooth but chatters when breaking traction and wind. 4.094
Mcgregor-Quick but difficult at limit. 3.931
Devious-Smooth and consistent. 4.083
Terry-Nicely turned out but a touch heavy. Consistent. 4.120
Mopardevil-No grip but smooth. 4.245
BMR-Heavy but consistent. 4.176
Manic-Will beat Eno. 4.370
Small Nails-Not Bad. 4.136
Old Slot-Needs a heart transplant. Lucky Eno entered a car. Must be an NC1. 4.662
HMCSAT-Twitchy light front end. I want one though. 4.375
Bitman-Slight front end bounce but not bad. 4.049
Eno-Marshalls nightmare but at least it will run here. Nice looking boat anchor if you are a sicko. 4.769
Oswald-Smooth and consistent. 4.185
Scar-Guide too shallow and too light in front end. Still beat Eno. 4.625

Summary:
Some cars don't like the undulations on my track and the shallow guides combine to cause deslots.

Tomorrow night will be run in 4 minute heats but full results will be up Sunday. I may update major places before we shut down tomorrow night for those anxious ones but full results will be later Sunday.

My car was probably taily because no one will look after my tyres ;)

Phil

I was going through the pimp my ride post Steve put up about prepping your car and you had nothing on there, but I will wipe them over like I did the other cars who requested it. If anyone wants something done can you put it there as the topics are getting more and it is difficult to find information now.

Don't worry Phil as the cars in the 3's are mainly difficult to drive, I would hate to see some on 13 volts.

At least the undulations won't trick my car.. just the corners! It is VERY fast if you get a decent driver on it (he scoffs scoffily) :)

If it was a drag strip you would have a chance but this is like Amaroo Park or Lakeside. All corners and dips. The cars with Scaley guides also suffered including Ian's Charger which I am disappointed with as it is very tidy looking and I think would fly with a deeper guide.

I really like the jumps in the pictures. I'm hoping to make one that lumpy in the future.. I reckon amaroo would have made a fun "slot" track
