Congratulations to the series winner KalbfellP and his all conquering Corvair Sports Sedan, topping the leader board by a clear 17.49 points

As for places 2 to 5, well there was a difference of 5 points between the placegetters with ESPSIX clinging to a very close 2nd place finish narrowly pipping Antony by a mere 1.63 points.

Oswald and Hellrazor snared 4th and 5th separated by 0.52 points! Sports Racer came in 6th narrowly ahead of Sprint (7th) by 0.03 points with BMR 8th and Imugford 9th with me (Sidecar Steve) in 10th.

Bearing in mind that these cars have been through some tough racing, the closeness of the results is a good indication of how consistently competitive these cars all were.

I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of DUPR 2008.

• To the entrants, thank you for putting together such a glorious field of weird and wonderful cars;
• To the round hosts, thank you for the care you took with the cars to keep them running and for getting the drivers and marshalls organised.
• I hope all the drivers (thanks to you all) had as much fun as I did driving the wheels off this bunch of cars.
• And a big thanks to the marshalls for keeping the racing flowing.

I would also like to thank those forum members who helped behind the scenes with advice, counsel and assistance with adjudicating on some of the more awkward things that occurred during this series.

Congrats Phil for the series win (again). Half way though I did not think you were going to take it out.

Thanks to everyone involved - hosts, drivers, marshals, entrants & to sidecarsteve for getting the whole thing together.

Onya Phil. You've done it yet again! Looks like we'll have to wait till next year before we can beat you.You've shattered poor old Sportsracer for the umpteenth time. He'll wear out 6 more controllers trying to get something to go faster again...it's an annual thing with him. Imagine how it's going to affect him when I beat him as well next year.
