Raceday is looming large.....Racing kicks off at 2.00pm Sunday.

All the cars have been checked and are ready to go.

Race order will be alphabetically and each car will run three 4 minute legs.

Oh BTW, Eno's Commodore finally arrived, narrowly meeting the deadline (counted in Eno time units). We have here a largely stock Carrera Opel Commodore Grp 5 car that weighed in at 106g and clocked a fastest lap of 7.23 seconds.
cheers!

Steve

Ok racing has just concluded and the results are being tallied.

Despite checking EVERYTHING last night, the computer decided to play silly buggers which delayed the start by a bit.

Will have preliminary results for you soon.

Interestingly, the only car to suffer any damage during nearly 1000 laps of racing was the red & black Camaro.....
cheers!

Steve

What do you mean largely stock - it's just large & ungainly & I put a very very very silly engine in it just like a real sports sedan :sleep2:

..at least it's attractive! ;) :( :P

Good grief you are an impatient lot aren't you!!!

Ok then. Here are the final results from DUPR08 Round 1. Sorry this has taken so long to post but there was a wee malfunction with my race program and I had to go into the database and manually count the laps (don't ask...) AND check the results based on the running tally that was being kept during the races.

And after all that, we have a winner and it was a bit of a surprise to us all!

Here are the results by bracket:

And here are the standings

Thanks to Davnic74 and ESPSIX for the driving, Alf and Stevo41 for marshalling and Wife of Sidecar for domestic interruptions....

I'll post a rundown of the day a bit later....like tomorrow.
cheers!

Steve

Thanks for the results Steve, looks like I've got a bit of catching up to do. Well done to the guys at the pointy end. Bit ominous that Phil is in front already.

Cheers

All I'm happy about is the old Ford Anglia wasn't last - In fact for such a small car it did better than I expected - I'm happy

I thought that the Anglia looked good on the track. Being a smaller car it seemed a bit slippery through the corners but always looked to be under control - wheras some of the cars seemed to be running on a knifes edge.

I (for one) was impressed with it.
