I came across a wee scheduling problem with the starting dates and have had to make a change that will push the series back two weeks. Unfortunate but unavoidable. The revision only affects the Victorian rounds (No cracks puhleeez!), otherwise we're all systems go for the other states.

So...the revised dates are:

Series starts in Victoria:
Round 1
March 28-30
Sidecar Steve
Gotterdammer-Ring

Then to Queensland
Round 2
April 11-13
Manic35
Fryar Mountain

Back down to NSW
Round 3
May 2-4
JoeZ
Joe Raceway

Round 4
May 16-18
Vinno
Emu Heights

Across to South Australia :chase:
Round 5
May 30-June 1
Imugford
Outer limits Raceway

Round 6
June 13-15
BMR
Beachside Model Raceway

Down to Tasmania
Round 7
June 27-29
Smallnails
Hammer-Ring :o

Round 8
July 11-13
Boss302
Gotham Park Batcave

Round 9
July 25-27
kalbfelp
New Shelmore

And back to Victoria
Round 10
August 8-10
aastes
Woodlands

Round 11
August 22-24
Eno the Wonderdog :dog:
Dayus Raceway

Round 12
September 5-7
Sidecar Steve
Gotterdammer-Ring

If there is a need to shuffle rounds within the state, the track hosts may feel free to sort that out, just let me know.

After I have finished scrutineering and weighing the field and post pics and comments about each car, the cars will go into "parke ferme" until qualifying for round one.

Edited by sidecar steve, 10 July 2008 - 07:34 PM.

cheers!

Steve

Does sound suspicious. He gets my car to test and then has to postpone by two weeks. Next time I'll build a slower car so it doesn't frighten people so much. :o

Cheers

It takes time to solder all those resistors in series with the motors before the first round starts at the 'Ring and then there will obviously be a two week delay getting all the cars back after the last round at the Ring when all those resistors have to be taken out again. :o :chase: :dog:

No it was actually my fault - I'd committed to being in two places at once on the 29th and am having trouble finding a dinosaur of a computer to run the timing business on.

Sorry guys.. :o

How can you commit to being two places at once on the 29th? DUPR take precedence over everything else. Period!

I hadn't thought of that but you're right, there are massive home ground advantages having 1st and last rounds at the same place.

Nope. Unfortunately you are incorrect and it's a full-stop and not an excuse for a tanty..

Now now, settle.... not all Eno's fault, I shoulder the responsibility as Organiser, buck stops with me, etc....

Just so all the cards are out on the table I fully intended NOT to be a driver at the two races at my track. I think thats the most ethical way to be organiser, round host and entrant. There is enough other stuff to be done without being a driver too. I get to do the shake down runs which is a blast!

Hopefully later tonight I'll have the pics and specs of the rest of the field bar one that seems to have gone AWOL.

Bitman's car will also be rerun when the new wheels arrive. This was the car I described as "dragging its arse on the ground like a dog with worms", the cause of which was over tightening the screw that holds the car to the base, it popped both axles out of their mounts and pancaked one wheel.

Aastes' car also arrived safely!

Now I must stop typing as the tips of my fingers are sore from soldering in all those hidden resistors :)

Oh and I just got the joke about periods being just an excuse for a tanty...EEEEWWWWWW!

Now I know why I spend a lot of time reading Auslot posts instead of watching American sitcoms on TV .....the jokes and the shite stirring comedy are better here on Auslot !

Steve, it must be late. How many times do you want the specs on my car?

OK, again. Scalex Calibra body, Ninco Callaway chassis, Spirit 26k motor, Ninco sprung guide, Slot-it front wheels & tyres, NSR rear wheels & tyres, 9/27 gearing, bare-to-the-bones driver. Garbage bag cable tie rollcage (have you ever tried to fit a rollcage with the interior already superglued in place)

Cheers

Paul

At least i suppose that now at least the guys that didnt send their cars with wheel inserts now have time to get them to you Steve.

Because obviously you wouldn't want to be seen to be enforcing some rules and not some others. Wouldn't you Steve? Steve? STEEEVVVVVEEEE?

Now now Bradley, all rules will be rigidly enforced and a suitable penalty will be applied to all non- compliant cars. And seeing as you are very specific on the issue of compliance, I have fully re acquainted myself with the regs to ensure that I am totally conversant with what is and isn't allowed. For your vigilance I am most appreciative.

In fact I would draw your attention to:

2.1.5 All bodies must have at least 3 racing numbers.
