Just a quick reminder, this friday (the 30th) is the Scalextic Classic GP for 1970's F1 cars. I'm sure that those who are intending to come have their cars organised, but just a quick refresher.
- Cars are to be original Scalextric F1 cars from the 70's. They are to be the standard cars with no chassis & where all components clip in from underneath
- Front axle assembly is to be wobbly, just like they were when they were new.
- All cars are to running plastic wheels. I was originally going to make the tryes a stock item (GRT's tyres), but I dont think everyone has them. Grip is not a problem, so as long as they are the original size & not silicone, they should be OK.
- All cars are to be using the original Johnson motors
- All cars are to retain their original ride height. Sure, some of them are going to look like they are wheel standing, but so be it
- NO LEAD Ballast. You can use things like plasticine, play dough, blue tack to keep it in the theme of what the kids would have done back in the 70's
So, please all come. It should be a fun night!!
