How about the Scalextric crystal ball, releasing the pole ford, as well as 1st and 2nd place.

So what are people being so one eyed about? Bare shells? For all we know the bare shells could be supplied by Toyota in the future and then what would Red vs Blue mean?
Just rambling.

Hi Guys
The bodies are made up from panel sets supplied by the manufacturers and fitted to the tubeframe chassis structure rather than bare shells that had been the case in the past . the floor pans are heavilly modified to accept the wider shot gun panels (wheel arch tubs) rear suspension pick ups. in the VE's case the body is shortened by about 100mm just behind the B pillar to comply with the project blueprint maximum wheelbase spec for V8 supercars. I think you will find that the body panels are made in a lighter gauge sheet to minimise weight. the front guards are made of a composite material
there is very little in these cars that are production ford or holden. the motors have a similar spec for engine block deck height and vee angle.
there has been talk in the past about a common floorpan and roll cage assembly the the various teams can bolt there panels to. maybe the badges on the grill and the head and tail light assemblies are about the only original parts.
Can't see what all the fuss is about.

A cunning edit to Vinno's post sums it alllll up for me, since the last Ford I owned was a Mk II Cortina about 30 years back, and I have never owned a "General"
None of which will stop me repeating . . . . think red. . . . . . . oh yeah, that's a slot car term as well.
