Alan

This is a trial championship all cars will be at some stage checked by the technical committee.
As the RPM of the motor has not been set yet (well as far as i know it hasnt) you should be able to race with the NC5 which is 20,000 RPM I think?

Tech inspections will take place on the night - we need to have a shake down run on all the proceedures so we get it right for next year , if your car should come up a little on the wrong side of the new rules don't panic its just a shakedown period and the real stuff (rules wise) will be not enforced until the new year season starts.
However as Imkouwl and BMR are doing the tech inspections I think its only fair to let everyone know BMR drinks "Wild Turkey" Imkouwl drinks "?" best pm him for his favourite flavour.

Due to the time it will take to do a full inspection can you arrive as early as possible to present your cars please GT2 / NASCAR
Basic inspection points; As the rules are not written down yet Im going from the meeting we had receintly about how things will be next year

* Wheels not to be outside the bodywork - if due to an aftermarket tyre being fit to the car (NASCAR) then 1mm outside the body is currently acceptable but not prefered
* Flags to be no deeper than 6mm Measured from the braid landing surface to the bottom edge of the flag blade.
* 047thou or 2mm clearance under the car - gears included in the clearance.
* Body lowering allowed - 2mm clearance from the track surface
* Alloy wheels ( same diametre as the car came with )and aftermarket drive gears allowed.
* Aftermarket flag allowed - flag subject to the depth rule
* Body trimming and chassis trimming allowed - minimal wheel arch trimming allowed.
* Ballast allowed - subject to track clearance rules (047 thou / 2mm )
* Interior must be original interior that came with the car.
* Motors are to be within the NASCAR class limits 18000 - 20000 rpm + 1000rpm accepted as a factory fluke motor but any more and you will recieve a nasty look from all the other racers that will most likely give you a complex and a reputation that will follow you throughout the 2008 season

Most of all enjoy the night and for those members that love to show how smart they are feel free to tell me 047thou and 2mm are actually different sizes by at least the thickness of a bees pubic hair

Thanks for the Heads up Steve
I better make sure Im there early aswell

0.047" = 1.1938mm

2mm - 1.1938mm = 0.8062mm = 0.0317"

assuming a bees pubic hair is 0.0001" because I've never measured one.
that would be the the difference of 317 bee pubic hair. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Im not sure me being on the technical committee is a good idea ;)

That was a technical answer so I think you should be on the Tech commitee , by the way that was an African Bees pubic hair As the African Bee flaps his wings much faster than your average European Bee his pubes are thicker to handle the extra stresses placed on his rudder stick when he changes direction ...although there is then the Niorobi Bee ..he usually wants just a couple of pubic hairs depositited to his bank account so he can send all his millions of saved hairs to your account later :P
"I need to get out more huh ? "
