Onya mate, fastest post in the west nice qua;ity pics again. Going by the results last night the tyre of choice at the BMR track is still MJK . I tried to sort the track out with some extra grip so all tyres would have a even chance. The Friday night grip was excellent but most likely would have been too much for some people and it would have had them tipping over in every corner. Sunday arvo the "belt grip" started to wear in a bit and as 3ofus said it was good but still a bit tacky. I probably should have run Monday night and left the track how it was on Sunday to see how it went.
The Ninco tyres were like running on ice but I cleaned a set on two cars early in the night with 2.26 and they seemed ok to me afterwards. After the two races were finished and we ran some night driving practise time on the track I put a car on with NSR tyres it gripped well , as did my Slot it Ferrarri 312 b , with Slot it tyres.
I put the lack of grip for some cars down to a few different reasons
1) The track had been wiped down with Shellite and had no rubber down so it was like a new "green" surface early in the night
2) People with dirty tyres and possibly not knowing how to clean them up properly
3) Driving there cars like they have a on / off switch instead of using there controller with some better control in the mid range to bring on the power more smoothly.
Having the track a little slippery in places challenges the drivers more and the good drivers showed there skill - Jordan was running on worn Nincos and the traction was a problem for him with his Aussie V8 but he still did very well in the race , even over some people with MJK tyres on there cars. (see the results when there posted ) The Open wheel cars mostly seemed to get grip so the track was rubbering up again by race two. Even a few said there standard Scalextric tyres were gripping ok . We can put Monday down as a race that was a bit like Bathurst - wet at the top of the mountain and dry at the bottom - slicks or wets what do you put on ? I will leave the track surface as it is for a while and see how it goes , I would like to see it be good for all tyres like before but we will see that later hopefully. Either way the racing was good and the time spread was still reasonably close over all the drivers . Another great SCSC night.

Here are the results of the second race, for open wheelers. Nice to see that the old Scaley IRL cars are still rapid:

For some unkown reason, I copied these results twice (thinking I had the V8 results as well).

Maybe David Can get them for us? (He took a piccy)

Thanks to allen for the lend of the F1.
I got the Williams F1 today for $35 from Tbirds.
I now have one car for every category I think.
Does anyone know what classes are we racing next week?
Merry Christmas.

I have found that people that always have something smart to crack on about like a track or post usually suffer from small track syndrome huh
