Hi Guys

Just saw this in SCI forum

Canadia Proxy Series
Look like our colder cousins are planning one now.

Should be fun giving ol' Wetty a shellaking on home ground eh!

It's still in the talk stage but would be a good one to be in on from the start.

Cheers Alan

It looks like there should be a fairly large field. Entries have just started, but so far, I think there's something like 19 pre-registered entries with another half dozen or so currently pending.

It'd be great to see some cars from down under. After all... we need some backmarkers.... :arggg:

Well... since you asked... ...my car is currently leading the SF 1/32 Thingie proxy.

And a second is enroute to Tassie for the WPR, just to ensure that the Tassie guys have someone to race with... :)

What class are you entering a car in, or are you sending 3 cars?

Just want to know so I have something competing against you. B)

SR, I have a definite entry in the Prototype class, and with Beejay constantly nudging me B) , I will likely have a GT entry and perhaps a GTU car as well. Lots of time to build, so I should be able to do all three. :P But, for certain, you can embarass yourself against me in the Prototype class. :D

Phil, my WPR car left beginning of the week. I hope Canada Post put new hamsters in the "engine" of the plane they always seem to use when shipping my stuff around the world. :bday:

Ferg : I will watch for it, those hampster are faster than the dog sleds that they use in Sweden. They can take up to 2 months.

I hope you didn't send it surface mail. Dog sled to kayak to Cessna can take an awfully long time to get to Tassie. I'm still waiting for a car I bought in December to get to me from Canada. Don't you feed your postal dogs enough?

And after all the help I gave you building that Mosler last year! Probably would have won if you'd listened to me and hadn't insisted on making those changes after I got it running so well. :chainsaw:

No point... they keep getting trampled by all the rutting moose. :( And my big hope was that the new Piper would be quicker than the old Cessna... but... :huh2:

Maybe we should go the Aussie route and start using roos with the built-in mail pouches. ;)

I'm still waiting for a car I bought in December to get to me from Canada.

I hope it wasn't sent like my Thingie proxy car! Found out that DHL had sent it to England instead of Switzerland  and it languished there for ten days before my constant prodding got it found and redirected. Thanks to our proxy organizer over there, he actually intercepted the courier truck on his way to the first race! :)

But.... six months? Something's gone very wrong, even by our rather lousy standards. :o

Back on topic, though... my prototype entry is a Ford GT40 and my intent now is also to field a Corvette Gran Sport in GT. So, you can try to humble me there too. :D Best of luck.

OK. Parma controllers at 20 paces. But in all faireness you should send a car to next years Down Under Proxy Series. That way we're both competing on foreign territory. If you go to http://www.downunderproxy.com/ and have a look at Entries you can see the specs of each car. Gives you a bit of a head start in building something that will be competitive on our surfaces.

Cheers

Paul, I would have entered the DUPRS but by the time I found and joined this forum it was really too late - I had no free time to build a car. Next year? For sure, mate! :nice:

Looking forward to the competition. If you want any help with things like tyre selection I'm more than happy to help.

Nice website you've got, love your soldering.

Thanks, Paul! And I see you've now entered the GT and P classes too.

So now that we've been civil to each other, we can get back to the BS! :)

And my son has entered a Cobra in GT, so you'll have two Fergies to chase in that class! :whip:
