They look superb! How did they go in the race?

Now there's an idea for a future scratchbuilding project.

I want one too. I'm pretty sure it's been made as a model.

Yeah that's right Lenny. Awesome looking car. Although I like the ones with the coloured noses better.

The body is a OCAR resin I got from the UK. was pretty heavy at 41 grams when I first got it but weighed 25g after I attacked it with the dremel.

Lenny - when you have a picture hit the [ IMG ] button rather than the [ HTTP:// ] button..

I usually hit the "Preview" button if I'm posting pics 'cause I'm an idiot and am as likely to post a picture of a galah as I am a car!! :o

Ocar hey? You've just answered my next question there! <_<

Man I love that car! <_<

Luckily I haven't seen any galah photos yet. You must have a whole bunch of them.

There were 55 starters in the 1958 Le Mans

Only 20 cars finnished the race

no 2 DBR1...Brabham and Moss, retired in the third hour with engine problems
no 3 DBR1...Trintignant and Brooks, retired in the 15th hour with transmission problems
no 3 DBR1...Evans and Salvadori, retired in the fourth hour after an accident

The winners were

1st ... 14 Ferrari 250 TR58
2nd ... 5 Aston Martin DB3S
3rd ... 29 Porsche 718 RSK

Hi Eno
Just be aware that the OCAR version is of the 59 lemans car with the faired in front guards and wheel spats on the rear. I cut the spats out and reprofiled the front guards.
I'm planning on another one so I can race it against my ninco classics with a plastic chassis.

modest young chap aren't we, Phil ? ;)

And just so Terry N doesn't feel left out. Terry's was a resiliant resin shell I believe

Yeah but that car doesn't look half as nice as the DBR-1's that raced in 1958.

True, that model doesn't, but I'm pretty sure it is not the right colour. :)

This one was at Eastern Creek at this years CMC Display Day.

Zagatos with an Aussie connection. Are they the Slot Classic cars? OCAR also make a body kit.
