Oops ! Help Ive Stuffed Up

i too had the same ..........silly me. :blink:

i had mixed 2-pak body filler and applied it just like putty.

re routed and re-sanded .

it worked fine for me.

 

you always will have some flaws when you build a track,but because they are timber you can always rectify

 

i am waiting for my paint to arrive

what are you coating your track with?

thanks - using an Anti-corrosive like Ferrador, but called something else, it also has a primer built into the paint (so no primer needed:D)

 

got it for nothing so that saved be a bucket load of cash ...

 

called Dulux Luxaprime ZP - apparently worth $120

Brendan,

 

The magic of routing means you can fix your mistakes.

 

On my tri-oval I had two joins that didn't look good. I routed using a 4mm bit so I'm going to put a 4mm wide piece of MDF into he slot then I'm going to mix some filler and fill the "error". Just before its fully set I'll remove the slot piece.

 

Once painted - no error
