Took them a while to get a 4 speed gear box.

When I wsa a kid I came to Australia from Coventry..
Jaguar lives there.
Triumph lives there.
BMC lives there.. ok but lets keep going.
Came to Australia & everyone's driving cars that are bigger than rollers and bloody ugly..
..then I saw the charger & thought "Hell - even bloody ugly things can be cool in a weird way!"
And so I learned that even an imaginary dog can be cool..

It took all Australian cars along time to have 4 speed gear boxes

One of my mates brought one of the first 4 speed E49 chargers, boy did it go but it would not stop with standard pads in it!

I believe that's why the little minis, jags and cortinas were able to run with the american stuff back in the day.. they were built for country lanes not interstate highways..
