these signs took some time and steps in constucting....but you should get a good idea how to make them just looking at the pictures (note the construction on the rear view of the good year sign in the first picture)....the only template i had when i made these was the 1/4" square support dowel cut at 45' on each end, 5" in length . off this template dowel i construted 25 of these and still own 5. these are the best scratchbuilt signs ive ever made. parts needed walmart wood slats 3"x7" (cut 1/8" particle board to the same dimentions), walmart craft sticks (rip some popsicle sticks or tongue depressors to size) 5 3/4" x 1/4" x 3/32. next bamboo scewering sticks as cross members...the lengths will very. finally, wire holder base plates may or may not be used depending on location

p.s. paint facure and add livery before contruction...make sure youve got plenty of clamps braces and rubber bands when glueing :) :o :( :D :) here ya go clinton something to put in those open spots you havent filled yet. thanks for the kind words ;)

Hi SlotsNZ. Great to see another Kiwi on here!! Yeah I have truley found out just how addictive this site is - There is so much great info on here & heaps of inspiration for cool scenic scratch building ideas you can spend hours trolling posts ( I didnt even stop to look at how old the post was as I was so impressed with the finished product!! ) Like most kids, I used to dabble with slots when I was younger as my mates dad had built him an awesome 4 lane routed track in their basement back in the early eighties ( I now wonder what ever became of it & his super quick yellow Mini Cooper??), now that I am 40 something kid , my interest for slotcars was rekindled after by chance, seeing and purchasing a Bathurst set in Aussie last year - pushed the boundries of carry on luggage with that one..... :strain: The great thing is that I am learning new stuff from this awesome forum every visit and also very glad to find out that I am not the only "Big kid" out there who has a passion for as my wife calls them "His little cars" - as we all know & I keep telling her, they are finely detailed 1/32nd scale racing miniatures!!..... Mind you this does not stop her trying to thrash me . Amazing how compeditive some people can become over "little cars" :arggg:

Hi Mark, that would be awesome. I really love the classic look of these graphics & would dearly love to have some grace my pending track build. Once again, really impressed with them. Keep up the great work dude!!

Hi Mark, just got back home from Kendo practice. Again, wow! Cheers mate, these are most wicked! Many thanks for your effort and just general all round kindness in globally fostering the hobby. I do a lot of historical wargaming with miniatures and have built a lot of scenery over the last 25 years & I have found your forum posts to be a breath of fresh air which hark back to the good old days and have reminded me of when we had to use our ingenuity and creativity to create the visions we had in our heads into a reality out of "stuff" we found - not just "slap it on the card and un pack it...". My hat is off to you sir. Well done & never stop creating these awesome scenic miniatures. Our hobby needs your creativity and generosity. Kind regards and again many thanks, GT40 Racer.
