Hi all,
Wondering if these are suitable for ninco 2.48mm > 2.38 (3/32")conversions using the existing ninco chassis.
Anyone used these?

NSR gears really need to be on their own axles. They are ever so slightly too small to fit on the Slot.it 3/32 axles! Can be reamed out to fit of course. (Learned this the hard way!)

Finished up with the same issue as Yngwie. All a matter of rounding when they convert 3/32 to decimal. Seems NSR round up and Slot.it round down and the two just don't mix.

Hey Bry... long time buddy.
Thanks for bringing this up as I need some gears too.
It's all a learning curve!

Dick- it has been a long time mate! I'd like to catch up and blast some cars with you soon..
Thanks John and Ember- I'm generally a slot.it man, didn't realise NSR gears had this quirk.
Doesn't quite answer the question though- this NSR gear set (6704) is advertised as a ninco conversion set.
I specifically want to upgrade the running gear of a ninco anglewinder to 3/32 and metal gears. I've tried slot.it anglewinder crown and 6.5mm pinion, but due to the geometry differences this does not work.
Cheers

They're a 3/32 axle so need to change wheels too. Makes you wonder why they list it as a Ninco conversion.

I have done the rear axle kit for a ninco and love it. Did it on my ford GT and until the Motor went down hill it out ran the lightening version of the same car by 5-10% each lap.

G'day Shodan
I actually performance a NSR 6704 conversion on my old Ninco Honda NSX which had a crack pinion gear last weekend. The parts I used for the conversion included the following:-
NSR 6704 Conversion kit (crown and pinion)
Sloting Plus 55mm 3/32 Axle
Sloting Plus Combi Plus Bushing 31.6mm
Ninco 17" wide 3/32 wheels.
All the parts work together well and ran ultra smooth with the Ninco NC-6 Crusher motor. The crown gear was a little tight to get on the axle but no machining was needed.
In my past experience NSR, Ninco Pro Race, SCX Pro and Sloting Plus 3/32 parts all fit together OK.
Regards
Mat

Why race on any old figure 8 track when you could be racing on a track designed to replicate a piece of Australian motorsport history like Oran Park Raceway.
