The bracket has been glued in with two part Epoxy/5min Aruldite including the bearings and bearing post. This mod will stop any of the "ninco hop" in all of the Ninco anglewinder range! The bracket is made of aluminium angle (20mmx 20mm)

Did you bend the bracket up yourself Syd? Perhaps you should sell them for numpties (like me)..

I think I stated earlier that it was aluminium. I just bought a length for about $12 for 1.5metres 20 mm x 20 mm angle 1.5 mm thick determined the degrees angle to cut from a bare chassis and made up a few. I cut the opposite angle on the other end for the alternate cars. You have to use a file to notch out for the bearing supports but it is really easy. I have been using these to good effect for some time now.!

That's a really tidy job there Syd.

I actually did a few using bits of old scalextric green track brace, just because someone showed one done like that, and it is a nice rigid plastic, and "numpties" like me could cut it with a hacksaw blade or similar. But I like how that is tailor fitted full width, undoubtably more stable.

Now when you're done making up about 100 for Eno's cars . . . . . . .

I should make pattern and get a machine shop to make a hundred of each one and sell them for a couple of bucks each!

Thanks Syd - must be going blind in my old age - as I didn't see your text at the bottom of the photos
Will go and raid my father's shed and see if he has any spare aluminium from his camper trailer build..

cheers

Here are a couple of movies showing Ninco cars (and the hop) before and after bracing - though the bracing was not as tidy as yours... vids are from my brother in Japan

The great thing is that that mod works in all the anglewinders including the Lambos that have very little overhang in the rear. The only one I haven't fitted one to is the Megane as I would have do an extra bend, not impossible just a pain

I have been using this method for all my Ninco angle winders.
I posted some pictures in an earlier post.
