Fly Racing Capri - Motor Upgrade

I love this Fly model for it's looks and handling. I have a set of four stock ones that I plan to use for a club event soon - but just brought another to set up as an out and out racer.
Slot It orange endbells really suit my track. Is there a direct drop in replacement for the long can Fly racing motor that performs similar to an orange endbell and brakes well, or should I just adapt the chassis so an orange end-bell fits in there?
Any other set up tips? I plan to run a full Slot It rear end and UltraGrips.

It is a damn nice motor and from what I have seen, seemed to suit the car extremely well.
In fact was always thinking of getting one of them, to do just the Same !!
Definitely Worth considering

They can still be bought at the regular "pusher" in NZ.
But I think that chassis can handle more than an orange bell, maybe consider a yellow or red, and gear it down a little if needed, to give more brakes.
OR, you could use a Slot.it Boxer, which is what I have in my "Banzai" car, while my lower powered one has an NC-6 in it.
That is still a fair upgrade from the FLY motor which is barely NC-5 in power.
There's also the NC10 and NC12 from Ninco which are closerthe Slot.kit boxer in power.

That way I can avoid a head on clash with Mikes Alfa which is looking sweet.(too sweet)
I've still got the basic "cooking" motor in mine but you know me,there are some other tweaks that have been done.
munter at the start line.

First test run was quite fast - 7.6 on my gloss wood track (which is comparable with a well set up, stock Slot It Group C). The car had good straight line speed but was very taily in the corners. This wasn't a surprise as I have always found Fly Racing Capris to be very tail happy.
So I tried a number of weight combos.... The best result was putting a little weight just behind the guide and on either side of the motor. Time dropped to 7.45 with this set up - but the tail happy characteristic stayed.
As I said before, I love how models sit on the track and would love to have one set up extra sweet.
So... has anyone cracked the set up so the tail action reduces?

I agree re: too much power... I took off the NSR UltraGrips and put on some Slot It silis this arvo. It's flying now and much more stable in the corners.

But the skyblue capri smoked the other two capri cars...banzai and the other bluey........and with the standard motor!!! and with a low gear ratio !!!
However my car would get smoked and eaten on a bigger track like Mac's.
regards, oh sorry.............Nanu nanu........................munter to Orsen, come in Orsen ?
