Has anyone had a go at setting up the FWO7B? I've bought one of the Alan Jones car to have for a bit of fun as a driver.

I just pulled one apart to get it ready to set up and have come arcoss a few pob's with the gear drive. I removed the rear axle to get to better access to glueing the tyres on the rims and found the gear drive to be restricted (not free in turning) in movement with the axle removed. Is there a way of freeing this up to reduce friction. Any general ideas in getting one of these handling better would be much appreciated

Clevo,

Have a look at this page - it has some hints/tips on fixing up some of the issues with the FW07's (once you read past the review).

Clevo,

I have the sister car to the Alan Jones car. The rear axle on mine was nice & smooth. Maybe I just got lucky. I did cram as much grease as I could in all the gears though. It drives no where near as nice as the March though, not even close.
Thanks
Greg
