Rhino,

The way i've been taking the super glue and left over rubber off the rims for years is by scraping it off with a
modle knife and blade. You'll find with the glue being hard it comes off with a scrape, same with the rubber.

I find NSR rubber comes off easy, good luck with slot.it rubber,i find this hard on the fingers.

Buy some super glue remover.

Go to Bunnings and buy some acetone (nail polish remover without the perfumes and colour added). Im also told that if you soak it long enough just plain old water will soften superglue.

Jazzbell's answer is good. You don't need fancy liquids just simply scrap it off with a craft blade. It comes off easy and does not damage the rim.

I have also heard that an application of heat will loosen and soften superglue....just how much for how long is another issue???

I use this. Works like magic

It does effect plastic but i have removed axle bushings from a plastic chassis by applying small amounts at a time and being patient. The superglue seems to passivated the debonder so there is none left to effect the plastic too much.

Google search for Z-7 in Aus.

Be very careful using nail polish remover as it can remove more than you need.

NSR wheels are unpainted aluminium with inserts. If you remove the inserts from the wheels and the wheels from the car (to make sure you do not get anything on the body/paint: an imperative for any glue removal method), I am not sure what's left to remove?

Agree. For metal wheels just get/borrow? some cheap nail polish remover and dunk the wheels in. Leave as long as you wish.
