I have a Fly DP car (Gainso) and have removed the plastic wheels and have tried to put on aluminium wheels but the slot.its and Ninco's are just too wide and the tyres rub on the guards. Who makes the narrower tyres suitable for the Fly DP car?

Regards

John

Try MJK first, being local but if that's not suitable the BWA wheels come in a variety of width options.

As above BWA wheels, you have to buy from Al direct. Also Pattos have a few different wheels & also MJK. Slotit have a narrow hub wheel that may work also.

Speaking of wheels does anyone know what happened to Pattos Euro wheel. I couldbt see it on his website when I looked the other day.

How wide can the hubs be? I wouldn't have thought the originals would be any narrower than a 'short-hub' Slot.it 8mm

We put those underneath scaley muscle cars, which are a pretty narrow sidewinder, but sometimes wee ned to file either the outside of the axle bush or the inside of the hub, to steal another 0.5 mm or so...

I used SCX alloys on my Fly DP without any problem, 50460 Rims 17mm Pro.

The hubs themselves are not that wide but the collar that accepts the axle on the slot.it adds another 3 or so mm which is just enough to let it hit the wheel arch!

That's why/where you use the "short-hub" wheels, the boss only sticks out about 1mm from the body of the hub
http://www.slot.it/I...tPart/hubs.html

PA24-als for 15.8 diameter
PA43-als for 16.5 diameter and
PA38-als for 17.2mm diameter

You'll gain (or should I say 'lose') over 1mm either side with those.

I should add - the Sloting Plus wheels are also very good in this regard
