My one and only scalextric V8 supercar is having problems with grip.
This livery is the ingall vortex so you can see it is fairly ancient.

I bought it new from Ged's way back.
The car has been magnet raced and then wood raced with some success.
It has had a fresh motor and now needs fresh tires because the originals have lost all grip no matter what I do with them.

Can anybody suggest a grippy rubber tire that would do the job on a gloss surface?

Thanks guys

I have fitted slot.it s2 tyres to mine - I am currently using homemade urethanes - that came off a Ninco JGTC and have also used my own mould of a slot.it 20x12 or 19x11 (not 100% sure which they were) but from the Mclaren or 962 porsche maybe an NSR tyre that fits these sorts of cars would work??
or the pro Ninco tyres they are shore 25? I am thinking of ordering some Jel Claws to check them out - supposedly they stick like silicones but aren't made of silicone
cheers

MJK's Part # 4222, can't go wrong ( however they are urethane 's and I believe they use them on their gloss tracks in Tasmania?)

Thanks guys.

I was expecting a barrage of polite suggestions.
Anyway, I am currently into"rubber" tires so my car has been fitted with slotit "F22" compound tires 20 X 11mm tires. SIPT31
These give great grip on my gloss enamel surface......a whole new beast.
