Ok guys, just thought I would share my opinions and experience with quality parts, namely NSR. The Ford Gt I have had a spur gear which was spinning on the axle. Tried super glue etc but didnt make an appreciable difference.

Went down stairs and removed the bearings and replaced them with the Sloting Plus Combi bearings. Changed the axle to an NSR and the Spur gear to an NSR. Added oil to the combi plus tube and added MJK's on the Ninco 18 Pro Race rims. Well, the car went from lapping my track at 5.95 to 5.617!

Sometimes we put off buying the better quality gear but it really is it worth it to be competitive. Thought I would tell someone who cares as I mentioned that I took 3 tenths off my time and she said " Thats nice dear"

My holidays are over but strangely I feel really good!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haha

Regards

John

i was thinking of doing a couple axle kits for my cars, namely the ninco Ford GT and astounded to hear it works so well.

Was also planning on dumping NSR gears in everything i can. so much more incentive now.

Life isn't like a box of chocolates, it's more like a jar of jalapenos. What you do today might burn your butt tomorrow.

The only caveat I would add is that you should only ever change one part at a time. Otherwise you have no idea what part has produced the improvement. In fact one of those parts could well have made the car slower and you'll never know.

Currently working on collecting bits for that sort of experiment (while HL is away working for a fortnight). Somehow I don't think "That's nice dear" will be the response I can expect. More likely "Alright... What have you done?"
