Tried it on plastic pinions a couple of times, and it worked for a while, then came loose again.
There would be other similar products in different brands, and you can usually get it from bearing supplies (BSC), automotive parts outlets, and sometimes Bunnings.

You can buy another pinion cheaper than the glue . I have usually found once they are expanded and loose they are useless .

I only tried the loctite because I had it already.
If you need to buy glue, then it would becheaper to go with a new pinion.

But just as I thought I had it sussed, with 6.5 for sidewinder and 5.5 for in line I see that Sloting plus has added 7.5 to the mix.
Now we have 5.5, 6, 6.5, 6.75 and 7.5 with seemingly no explanations. Other than slot.it 6 has an O in the suffix for offset.

Try measuring it across the teeth. 6mm measure about 5.8 to 5.9mm 6.5mm measure around the 6.3 /6.4 mm!
I have removed many brass pinions and still been able to press them back on,but the Fly motor shaft is knurled so you cannot usually take a pinion off a Fly /Scalex motor and put back onto another motor.
Loctite will work very well, 648 would be my choice. Althought most of the retaining compounds will probably hold the pinion.
