smallnails
DAYYUM! This man can tune a car! I put the call out for a Gulf version going back a couple of weeks ago, Jazzbell stepped up and we sorted out a deal! I didnt expect to get a couple of suprises with the car! A couple of spare gears and some new NSR EXTREMES. Yet to fit the extremes to anything, This car though has to be the fastest plastic chassis tuned car straight up i have driven. I have driven some weapons, My Xavex mosler is the record holder at Brians track, this thing is at least 10% faster. Can't wait to get to Brians and try out for the record with this one! Will take a video of breaking the record at Brians..........thats how confident i am of breaking it! The only other people i know that have driven cars tuned by him are the guys that did the last 6hr at Dandenong. Looking forward to seeing what this years cars are going to be and if its going to be workable for me to go again!

knoath
They were well sorted cars, weren't they? Even with the punishment they copped over 6hrs they still put in quick laps. Shane certainly knows his NSRs... You're a lucky man mate... enjoy your new found speed!!! Cleveland
Just because i wear cardigans and collect toy cars doesnt mean i am not into speed! Smallnails Jazzbell can set up a car thats for sure. I've driven a few of his cars and there all Fast, but the most noticable thing about all of them is how quiet & smooth they run. Now if I can only get Jazzbell to set up a few of mine , I might get back into racing......... Yngwie
Hey guys. I havent met Shane personally but have spoken to him over the phone 2 or 3 times over the last day. I asked him which car I should buy out of a choice of 2 and he rang back to say he would lend me a few of his cars to see how they are setup and how they run. What a guy!. All hobbies need people that support and promote their sport. Good on ya Shane! I am sure many of the guys here will be using your services. I was involved in a small 2 hour enduro in 2009 and it was an excellent event, 6 hours would be a blast! aussieslotter
Smallnails, Get yourself a NSR tyre softening machine and NSR tyre conditioning oil if you want to go even faster. Nothing can catch these things. Good value for $117 AUD huh? (The Mosler I mean) Is the track wood or Ninco? Also 3 chassis to play with depending on track type. Are you using suspension? Have you tried extremes yet? Just curious... Rick Edited: $117 referring to Mosler not tyre truer, sorry guys. Edited February 10, 2010 by aussieslotter Quote Smoke, mirrors and obsolescence. Chadly
just a note: alot of tracks dont allow conidtioned tires or tire conditioning oils. does make for more traction, but can make the track surface very slick for normal tires. better check with your local tracks before making a purchase! smallnails
Thats your opinion chadly, and you are more then allowed to have it...........but lots do allow it also, its not as if they are dripping wd40 or conditioners all over the track.........but lets not get into that whole debate again. People do tend to get pretty hot under the collar when debating this topic! whats "Normal" tyres does depend on where you are and what is "standard" we run both a lot of ortmanns and Nsr's together The Nsr shod cars dont affect the ortmann cars........let alone the Mjk cars. Guest jazzbell
How does this said tyre softening machine work and what does it look like? My opinion the NSR tyre trueing machine is the best on the market. I've got another 5 brands of machines, and they do' measure up to the NSR. As for the softening side of things, there's a section on the machine that you run your tyres back to back. The picture in the post above shows a wheel with a tire on a block, you then mount another wheel and tyre on the axle in front. Then on low volts its wound in and the wheels run back to back against each other.while doing this solution is then added. My prep on tyres is arond 20 hours on 4 volts. regards shane a team thunderbird Edited February 10, 2010 by jazzbell

aussieslotter
Heres a pic from Nurnberg. This is not new, it was released in 2006. Here you can see the two tyres touching, you can adjust pressure. Drop NSR tyre conditioner (oil) and switch on. Leave overnight, in the morning you have the softest tyres known.
