This round is at

The track (main road section) is a scale version of the famous Mt Panorama. It has been built near the infamous Salt Pan Creek hence the name Mt Salt Panorama
This Rally track is quite unique as it a Rally X circuit with 27 meters of Tarmac Ferrodore and 24 meters of dirt (Tuscan Acrylic Paint) - all sufficient grip and slide.
History and track build
The Tarmac section has times of around 13 seconds and the Dirt section takes about 20 seconds. All up a good lap "could" be under 30 seconds.
Being a new track there has not been a variety of cars on the track so TeamRed, Yngwie and myself run all the cars around for some laps to observe their performances etc.
To do a final sweep I run some of my earlier Proxy Rally cars and I have to say I wish either one was my entry.
2007/8

2008/9

Also checked the high speed tarmac with a good 'ole Holden tackling the "Chase" while the proxy cars were waiting in the marshaling paddock

Thought we would also test the hump with a non proxy car (this one didn't make it around the next corner)

Had a protester stopping the Irish car from going onto the track

Two corners were a concern for cars that were not well balanced
Bottom of Conrod straight and the left hander with a hump at the top of the mountain

These are the observations during some hot laps and they refer to the cars performance on this track.
We also found the cars performed faster/slower with temperature and humidity changes (up to 1.5 second/30 sec lap)

All being well we will run stage 1 Monday night
Stage 2 Tue or Wed
Stage 3 Thursday
A clip to get you into the mood Dirt and Tarmac
Good luck everyone
