Hi guys am running the cars for feel now ,Gaz and Mel have turned up so we've decided to run a stage. Smallnails , rear crown wheel on your Porcshe is null and void .It was just grinding so took it apart to see the extent . There is no gear there what so ever. Problem now is I don't carry Fly parts to fix it .Can you tell me what you want to do. I will Pm you .
Cheers Craig

Hi Craig

I'm looking forward to this event. I'm curious on how cruel that awasome looking Minto Park can be to the cars and tires

Take load's of pics and don't forget that we love to read car feedback ;)

Hey guys ,sorry for the lapse but this weekend was full on famliy wise. As stated I was going to run a round on Sunday.I ran the cars for feel and thats when we found the problem with smallnails car. Thought it wouldn't be fair to run the round till we fixed it as the same with Mel's , and as my round wasn't till next weekend thought it appropriate .Glad to say Gazza had a crown over his place and the Porsche is now a goer. So Smallnails you owe Gazza. I picked the car up today and we will run my round on Friday & Saturday . Mels car is also a goer .He only replaced the front wheels from another Porcshe. Will be running on 11volts with a Slot it hand controller. I have a 1 tight turn on my track that the SCX guides just wont come to grips with so it will be a liitle frustrating knowing the right touch of the throttle to give.
Cheers Craig

Hey smallnails,

Was that an Al hub on the crown? Theses things just dont last. That pinion doesnt look too healthy either, did it get replaced as well?

Obsidith, Haystack withdrew after round 1 so there is only 30 cars now.
Great looking track Craig. Viv's car sure is interesting to drive with that in built catapult up front:P
(I'd go a "passive" (no spring) drop arm next time Viv)
Thanks for the pics and results Gazza.

10th spot on stage-1 for my Lancia is fantastic! With 7th-10th spot on the same second this result is actually above my expectation, having a close fight with John, Lenny, Gary and Ronan is GREAT

Not my intention to offend any, and I guess this is the common "cry" in all proxy series so it really should not hurt to remind about it, so here goes: I would really love to hear (read more) about car feedback. The results only tell a third of the story, so unless we have live footage the only way we proxy builders can figure out if what we do is heading in the right or wrong direction is through car feedback from the drivers.

Thanks for the run so far, and I'm really looking forward to the next stage.

John, Lenny, Gary and Ronan: watch out..

Great results for my Subaru finally ahead of the "man it white" !
How was the grip level between my Subaru and Stigs Megane. They are both tyres I have moulded BUT different compounds.

I thought about withdrawing my car whilst it was still in Adelaide as it is clearly a dog. Suffering through the humiliation of watching it go badly round after round after round will inspire me to build a better one next time. I am encouraged by manimmal whose overpowered car one year finished rear of the field and this year he scooped the pool.
I used to Drink too much. I still do but i used to to.

...and i had such high hopes for my little escort. i see i'm gradually working my way down the order, it's more fun being up the front i must say, but either way i'll survive.

i find the best way to build a proxy car is to get two funnels, one labeled money and the other labeled time......
My mum says I'm an excellent driver
