It is that time again, we are looking for hosts for the 2010 Down Under Proxy Race. Please post your track and details if you would like to host a round. There are up to 10 rounds so room for 9 hosts (sorry, i am taking one round). Hosts will get priority for entry to the race so if you have a track and feel like hosting a round (just one, no split categories this year and only 24 cars so it should be easier.)

Don't be shy!

Hosts so far: 4 Vic, 1 taz, 1 ACT, 2 nsw and 1 SA
Gzminiz
Davnic74
Tazracer
terry
slittleshales
manimmal
Yngwie
waytofast
hoffy

I'll put my hand up for the Northern Tas round.

3 Lanes
Low Sheen Enamel
Braid
11 Volts (variable voltage but runs best at 11, any higher and gets to dangerous)

Very fast track.

Should give stats on mine, though it is not completed yet:
3 lanes
Ferodor
Tape
Race voltage 12.5
not sure actual lane length, will measure but UR 3.0 said it was around 17m

Haven't ran an LMP on it yet for lap times. Fastest lap so far for me running is my fly porsche 911 gt1 @ 6.4s. Box stock with a loose screws and a litle chassis trim for body roll.

Before nomination YOUR track check to ensure that these long wheelbase cars with only 1.2 mm clearance will not bottom out on your track. The tracks need to be smooth and have only gradual elevations, like Terrys,David and Brians. So you will need to be able to run cars with probably only about 1mm clearance in the later rounds.

Yeah, one for tassie was reference to Tazracer which I hadn't acknowledged. I really should wait to respond till after my morning coffee.
I looked at the 2009 site and it had said Terry N. eh, we will see how many hosts we get. 10 or less and won't have to worry

I'm happy to host for next years Proxy. MDF, Tape, 11m lap, paint=Simply Road Base. Lap times are 5sec almost exactly the same in each lane. This is a Racing track, plain and simple, when you just run laps it's easy, fast and simple, but when you race, oh boy, you gotta race, pick your passing point and make it stick or you are stuffed... best layout I've ever raced on bar none, and I ain't saying that just because I built it... I did over a thousand laps today racing one of my mates, he compared it favourably to real racing.... I say this layout is better than digital, I've raced Scalex Digital, and I own a large collection of Carrera Pro-x...

Southport, Queensland, two lane lap time approx 5sec.

i wouldn't mind hosting a round. i'm about to move to devon meadows too so gzminiz you can have a fang : )

anything under 4 seconds is fast - the track is flowing and is about 12 metres around.

You need a Canberra track to make this a proper Aussie proxy.

This one would suit LMP's down to the ground. 8 lanes and a real power/long legged track

I'll see if Steve (shop owner) wants to stay up late and run a round.

Cheers

Paul

That would be great. ACT, NSW, VIC and TAS (if the owner is so inclined)
