Found plaster impregnated modelling cloth 4.5m by 100 mm for $5 a roll today.
RJ's discounts and House to Home both in the Wollongong area.
Seems cheap compared to whats available through model stores.

Does the plaster cloth do a much better job than the chux and plaster of paris?

It is just easier to use, just cut and soak it in water and it is ready to put on.
Does much the same job.
