OK, I have recieved the cars today and we plan to run them tonight.. I know it's happening fast but availability of bodies means that's how it is..

So no qualifying sorry fella's, but should have race results by tomorrow....

Need to do some repairs to my Aston as the front "valance" has come loose and is rubbing against the front wheels.....(the rear wing is as trashed as i suspected... )

Would have been nice to have been made aware of this, (assuming it happened during a race and not in transit).. If it was raced like this it makes the lower than average lap count make sense... but anyway, thats the fun of proxy.. B)

If anybody wants anything checked, post it up now and I'll see what I can do... ;)

Hey Datto,

the valance was loose when it arrived at slittlehales. it also had the decal coming off the roof, and the sus braid as discussed. I had a look at it and drove it prior to raceday round 6 and found the only issue with it was on the fast l/h sweeper when the inside wheel was getting light the power would cut out. when the braid plate was changed this was no longer an issue.

that's a long way of saying i am confident it did not affect your cars performance in round 6, but yes, I could have mentioned it to you - sorry.

Have a good night guys and go team aston Martin!!!!!

Are you able to run 20 plus laps with some drone cars to clean the track of dust and hopefully lay down some rubber. B) Otherwise I nominate being the last car in the rotation.

How will starting order be decided? Names out of a hat?
cheers

But it's more fun to just drive the cars and let the first cars clean the track!

Nah, I'm sure Datto will have it under control ;)

All cars will get a quick once over to check that everything is in place and turning freely and tyres cleaned with battery acid, sorry, soapy water......

Manimmal: thanks for the info mate, and thanks to whoever actually changed the braid plate for me :D ..having looked at the foam pockets in the transport box, I think that is the reason for the lifting decal on the roof.. ;) bummer really as I was hoping for a strong finish in the concourse, by the time it finishes it'll look like crap... :( Oh, and I dropped your'e car on the floor from a great height, totally by accident too.. I promise... :P ..Interesting to compare 007 with mine as to what you did to make it go..... very nice... :)

rick1776: I do that as standard practice anyway... My track doesn't get used as much as it should so is still rubbering up, but the podded cars had no real problem with lack of grip......

At this stage starting order will probably be mine and Tazracer's in the first group or two so we can drive each others car's and from there how they come out of the box.....or we may do a hat draw, or finishing order from the last race.... B)

Might just throw them into the air and see who lands wheels down eh.... :P

We use liberal amounts of wd40 to clean the track before we race, so cleanliness wont be an issue!

27 cars by 3 heats of 4 minutes?.... what's this math thing again?

All I know is that after 27 heats of racing, I'm exhausted.

Phil Ks car is too quick to drive sedately. Blistering animal of speed.

yeah the plan went beautifully, we drove a few cars at 10volts because they were way to strong for us poor drivers, some cars we ran at 5 volts because we simply didnt like the person who built it, others we ran at full voltage and swapped tyres off manimalls car onto some cars because they were lacking in grip.

Thats ok isnt it?
