knoath
Well Steve, Congratulations indeed! The place looks great and you are doing well without any advertising... don't forget the power of 'word of mouth'!! Build it and they will come alright! I hope you can get that extension to the lease and expand the shop to take another couple of tracks too! (How much did you have to fork out for the liquor licence??? ) You have a PM mate!! chilla
Let me know when yer coming, Johno, I'd like to catch up. For a real hoot, bring a Scaley Escort with an extra magnet. Stock Scaley NASCARs are also a fun drive when there's a fulll track of 'em. Arr, bugger it, bring all your cars... I've had a ball running all sorts of orphans on the eight laner. It's amazing how well stuff I'd previously given up on runs on this track. Was out there today, re-introducing an old mate to the hobby and we had a blast with a pair of old Scaley Porsche GT1s we'd had for more than ten years. Be warned though, the place is addictive... Youve done a fantastic job Steve!! The tracks are great and the shop looks fantastic Looks like you are on a real winner. Good to meet you as well Chilla. Next time I am up I will have to talk the mrs into letting me do some serious racing. I visited the store yesterday afternoon with my Dad (has had his scalextric set for around 35 years) and my brother. We had a blast and easily churned through a couple of hours. It was great to not have to pull down, or set up for that matter, a track to race on. Steve has a good supply of cars as well, and the inclusion of some free track time was too good to refuse when you purchase a car. We are definitely looking forward to coming out again in the next few weeks. Well done Steve. Regards, Aaron...
dangermouse
It's amazing how well stuff I'd previously given up on runs on this track. What do you think that is due to? cheers DM
bzchi
I was out there again on Saturday running my new NSR and had a ball. Was plenty of cars on the track the entire time I was there.. 8 lanes at once just puts the track on the floor at home to shame. All I ask is for it to be open at night one day during the week so I can get out there more often Or maybe open later.. and run a bit later (19:00 close should give me time to sneak a visit it on the way home from the office) :whip2: I hope you are getting enough interest to convince you to get another 8 laner Thanks again Steve, is awesome to have something like this setup locally Edited June 1, 2009 by bzchi
