knoath
I have decided to remove all the gum trees from the back stretch and replace them with pine trees... so I grabbaed a few minutes and had a test run at planting them in the esses. Tried some undergrowth to add to them. Foliage needs to be re-done, but just getting an idea of their placing at the moment. Cheers... bishbosh
Great stuff. What did you use to make the fences the bikers are sitting on?
knoath
That's just balsa, scribed with a ball point pen. I had single pieces, but they were too fragile. I wanted to add plastic SCX/Scaley guardrail, but I think the 'timber' fence fits in with the scenery better. Geno
The fence looks great Dick and fits in well with your track. Where did you get the the guys sitting on the fence/wall?
knoath
G'Day Geno... why? Do you want to paint some for me? I got them in a bunch of figures that I bought off a fellow slotter... came with the tractor. I believe they are Carrera (?) someone might confirm this. Ontheflipside
Excellent - again, Dick. You have inspired me to go out and do some more work on my track today. How does the scenery go in terms of racing and marshalling? knoath
How does the scenery go in terms of racing and marshalling? Haven't had any dramas... oh hang on, Rob managed to launch an LMP into the grandstand at the end of the straight when it was there once... must have hit it about 2-3 inches in the air!!! The trees aren't a problem yet, although I haven't had any time to run laps through there. I have to set up a couple of cars tonight so I'll see how it goes. Marshalling is usually from the outside of the corners and the trees are more along the straight bits. Line of sight will be interesting from the blue lane driver's station I'd think. I'll overcome that with an extension lead for blue lane. Cheers OTFS! knoath
Should have been working on cars, but master 7 wanted to wreck a Torana (smack over the ear to follow!) Jack has painted the Torry up by himself and loved the matt black look... he wanted to add some rust along the bottom (wouldn't be a Torana without it!)... I let his artistic juices flow... and he loved the vines growing over it. Some more greenery sprouting... What a mess...
