Today marks exactly 1 year since i bought my first slotcar and i was quite horrified to realise how much i had spent in a year (not that it will stop me) Fortunately i have now got most of the back catalog stuff i was chasing so hopefully the spending should slow a little. exactly 50 cars! - most of which are v8's and thats just the cars. Nine cars were added to my collection last year: MRRC Shelby Cobra 427 Ltd - A prize from the SF 2007 Christmas Competition. Slot.It Fina McLaren F1 GTR. Slot.It Loctite McLaren F1 GTR. Slot.It AEG Sauber C9. Slot.It Audi R8C Reloaded. Slot.It Alfa No.34. Slot.It Alfa No.33. Slot.it Schiesser 956KH. Scalextric NART 412P. That brings my total number of cars up to 31! Not bad for someone only four years in the hobby. These are the release I'm looking forward to this year: Slot.It Nissan R390 GT1 Slot.It All Over Purple Silk Cut Jaguar XJR12 Slot.It Audi R8C Reloaded No.9 Slot.It Renown Mazda 787B Yep, its going to be another Slot.It year for me and they'll probably have even more that I want when they release their full range at Nuremberg in February. slotoz 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2009 (edited) very funny gloveman... your story rings true with mine.... first year was spent backfilling the 'catalogue' quickly, but (un?)fotunately?, a few years passed like this.... then finally i broke the additction last year and i finally slowed down only adding a 'few'.. lets see how long it lasts! turboman93 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2009 Hmmm.. well my first actual slot car was many many many years ago but it was HO. Now if we're talking 1/32 then that was the first week of Dec 2008. Since then, 25 cars have made it into my possession with a couple of more on the way.
