Steve's New Track

So I bought Shodan's old track (build and photos here: Build details )
Anyway its a three land track with braid, its a pretty neat compact track and flows quite well in either direction. I picked it up yesterday and then spent the afternoon assembling it. Then it came time to wire it ...eeek. Thankfully Manimmal was on hand to assist and we were soon cutting laps on two of the lanes and drinking beers....
This afternoon I cleaned up some of the wiring and got the third lane running yay!!
So the next project will be timing and then onto landscaping.....

Hi Knoath, the grip level is pretty good all things considered, the biggest issue as Manimmal alluded to is the lack of barriers and a concrete floor..... bugger...

Glad to hear the track had a good trip from Chaddy. No fences huh, sounds like you've got some 3mm MDF in your future......
As Gref said - Pics. Any ideas on the landscaping yet?
Good stuff,
Steve

Landscaping...mmm I am kinda thinking a street circuit sort of feel, like Singapore for example as I think the layout of the track lends itself to this, but still trying to put it together in my head. I will post pics asap.
PS if anyone has some track name ideas, I am open to ideas..

Firstly, please excuse the messy shed and the temporary barriers!
Pics that follow are some over all shots, then some detail shots of the two squeeze sections and finally a shot coming out of of the overpass.
A Timing solution has been found and Startline will soon be installed.
Enjoy!

I this one it looks like you come up hill into a flat section for the curve? Seems like a de-slot for no reason spot? Might be a trick of the eye though.
Apart from that it looks magnificent! Congrats on your new racetrack!

For the record, both Slot. It's have MJK tyres fitted and the bodies and pods loosened for float. The Proslot and the Fly Racing have "new formula" Ortmann's and loosened bodies and pods.

Enjoy!
