Get any ideas for the next project?

he he, funny you should ask. Oh, the Brian Thompson Camaro, only sports sedan style. Keep your eyes peeled for a 'how to', as requested is other threads. expect an answer to 'what's a strange shade of yellow (adelaide drinking water yellow i think they call it), 65mm wide, 38mm high and looks like fast?'.

My mum says I'm an excellent driver

I have no pictures as I only went to the legends dinner compliments of one of our suppliers and isn't Gricey

a funny bast--d. he put some crap on Harry Firth and a mechanic called Gerry Churchill. Told us about

meeting Richard Petty when Alan was in the States racing the Fosters sponsered Nascar and I didn't know

in Nascar that your pit position is decided on where you are coming in the Nascar Series. A very funny night had by all and worth going to (especially for nix). Also Bartlett,Glen Seton,Harvey and John Bowe. :aussie:

Going through one of the earlier muscle car mags and came across a photo from the 2007 event at eastern creek, showing a beautiful Shelby GT 500 surrounded by a pack of undesirables

Great bunch of photos , I had a young lad (15) looking over my shoulder as I scrolled through the pics , he said whats that under the old cars ?

I told him its air - thats the ride height they were raced with back then

DICK JOHNSON'S - TRU BLU

TRUBLERETURNS3_0.jpg

It was 30 years ago that Tru Blu ruled the tracks!

Headlining the Master Blast sessions is the #17 Tru-Blu Falcon, the 1981 Bathurst 1000 winner of Dick Johnson and John French. It also won back-to-back ATCC titles, in 1981-82. Tru-Blu is making its AMCM debut (and having its first NSW outing in ages) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Johnson's '81 feats.

JOHN FRENCH - GTHO PHASE 3

IMG_3372smaller.jpg

One of three GTHO's built by the Ford Special Vehicles team to race in the Australian Manufacturers Championship, it is the only one that still survives. Raced by John French and Later Norm Beechey it has a massive history that includes Sandown, Bathurst, Phillip Island, Adelaide Raceway and Surfers Paradise finishes. It was then given to Beechey before being sold and put into hiding for the next 30 years where we found it. Now restored sympathetically to how French raced it at Bathurst 1971, where he came in courageous 6th place after suffering fuel blockage issues, Moffat was to win that race in the famous missing sister car #65E. John French will be on hand to drive his old beast and tell a few stories on racing the GTHO's 40 years ago..

The Fords will be joined on-track by Bob Jane's 1971 ATCC-winning Camaro, in the hands of son Robert. As will the #05 Commodore VL, the sister car to our #10 VL in which Peter Brock later took over to win the dramatic 1987 Bathurst 1000. The Masters will be held a few days before the fifth anniversary of the great man's passing, so it will be a great thing to see one his more famous racers on track.
