Jaak
Hi all, It is finally time to begin my 3d permanent track after Handytrack 1 and Handytrack 2 i decided it needed a different name, since the lanes 1 and 2 are exact equal to each other i chose a Portuguese style name for it hence the name Igual Track 3, Igual is Portuguese for equal, this one will be a slow progress version. First of all the layout and room.............(some pictures have been shown in a other thread) This track will probably be modified later, i just need to source 8 pieces of Straight to lengthen the middle piece so that the inners corners come to the corner on the outside giving longer straights. I also need two 6car Digital Power Adapters 4 R2 corners to take out the change overs and i need 2 border barriers extra , anybody that has any of this for a good price PM me. The track now has 41,5 pieces of straight and 26 R2 corners. The pictures show the style of layout,it Will be a combo Digital Analog track. Because it is also analog i wanted it to be equal on both lanes i will convert both power bases later on in such a way that i can keep them both in the track, this will also mean i need to convert my lane changers etc, all that later on. Here is a picture of my other Slotcar room where my collection is and where i do my tinkering and building Work place.............. And my collection............(some cars missing due to missing parts ) More will follow.... cheers, Jaak Quote THINGIEPHILE REBEL EXTRAORDINAIRE

Jaak
Hey Stu, Thanks i am not sure on the elevations though... First of all, i am Dutch we have no elevations in the Netherlands. Second of all, i had elevations on my First track which sometimes caused problems with LMP cars Thingies etc, I want this track to also be 1:32 Thingie proof so it has to be a quick track :bday: Quote THINGIEPHILE REBEL EXTRAORDINAIRE
Jaak
Hi all I got the necasary track parts but do still need the two Digital 6 car powerbase adapters/powersources Here are some more pictures of the progress: First i made a proper table to build it all on...: That little dot is a new ray 1:32 motorbike to show the size of the table. This is actually the same wood from my old track but then turned upside down so it has a scenic bottom. And i made it a bit bigger then last one. Then i made a first layout with the track pieces i had.. More where on the way from my good mate Mike® The green bits are also pieces of my old track which probably will not be used. I will post some more progress pictures late. Cheers, Jaak Quote THINGIEPHILE REBEL EXTRAORDINAIRE
Jaak
Got some more pictures Lane change Thingies have been removed, and the track has been extended and it got more borders. I also changed the radius curves on the bridge to R3 curves. All i need now is some barriers to go wit my borders and make the Digital powerbase loose from the track with a switch, and convert the lane changers with magnets etc, and also detach the Sport powerbase from the track with a switch, and my Digital /Analog all in one track will be done  (excluding scenery) The basic shape of the track will stay the same this is my final layout...intill the next but that one will be routed. Here are some pictures...: I hope you like it.. Cheers, Jaak Quote THINGIEPHILE REBEL EXTRAORDINAIRE
slots
Still looking good Jaak, but I would have gone for the largest radius curves I could get for the bridge for a fast transition. Will the routed track be this big? Quote Stu Old racers race harder
Jaak
Thanks Stu, I could not use the R4 because the track would not come together as proper as it did now. I hope the routed will be at least as big as this one, but that is for a few years from now, and depends on the room in the new house that i will have available for the track. Time will tell. Jaak
Finally also made some small progress on the track! I managed to figure out what goes where etc, i made the outlines for the pits and park footpaths roads and greenery. I also fixed my bridge proper cut the wood to a proper size, last thing before painting and scenery is to figure out what i am going to use to make the walls on the ramp of the bridge any ideas always welcome!
