Howdy All

I've a couple of questions about car modifications.

Can I replace the the guide mount if the original location point is retained.

When replacing the windows can I just glue in individual panels rather than using vac-formed window set.

Can't see a problem with the guide, as long as you are only using one

I had a look at last years before posting. It doesn't say you can or can't, so I thought I'd check before I start chopping up the chassis.

Sure, I did last year with a ninco guide in an SCX focus. It was an operation and a half.

I've done that on another SCX car and it wasn't too bad to do.

Rhys is keen to run a round down here on his tight road course and has provided me with some pics on the track.






As you can see it is a very tight road course,the corner radius's are based on Scalex Classic dimensions as are the lane centres.

Love Rhys's track Phil, should be great to have two tassie tracks. The Tasmanian leg should have two stages, a tarmac stage at Rhys's and a twisty climb on my track when I get it built. My proposed track will favour the NC1 and RX41 motors while Rhy's looks like it will favour the quicker motors. Cars will need to be set up to be suited to a variety of conditions.

Can you post an overall shot of the track? Give a better idea as to what we'll be driving. Looks a good track.

I thought the proxy was for rally tracks? Shouldn't Rhys track go on the reserve list as well?

Hoffy it should be on the reserve list, His track is too tight for a DUPR event with the GT larger cars and would suit the Rally cars,BUT at present Tassie has no rally tracks. Tazracers will be the first one down here.

when i get some time next week, i'll work out a track list. Order of preference for tracks will be

1. purpose built routed rally tracks
2. purpose built plastic rally tracks
3. small tight 2 laners routed
4. small tight 2 laners plastic
5. then we will see.

I look forward to experiencing one of these 207's to see what they are like. I caught a bit of that series IRCon foxtel earlier this year and it is on again at the moment. They have a lot of liveries to produce in the 207 and the Fiat S2000 Arbath.

Are the rules the same as last years? If so can an inline pod be cut into a chassis? I have a car with broken motor mounts and want to put another motor mount into the rally car chassis.
