Thanks for running this round Manic, how long did it take?

Is Hellrazor's car the outright lap record holder?

Cheers

Paul

Hey Paul,

Yep, hellrazors slot is the only car to ever break into the 6 seconds non-mag on my track! His slot just kept getting faster and faster!!!!

The event went ALL day! lolol First guy turned up around 10AM and last left around 10PM...it made for a great day of racing. :)

The track is quite different in both directions which accounts for the variations in some slots times. There are also variations between the 2 lanes particularly with 'taily' slots. The outer lane, (mostly) has numerous outer barriers that assist really taily slots to keep it straight. The inner lane however has fewer barriers and therefore really taily slots are free to slide through the corners more freely. This accounts for the time variations with some of the slots. Hope this helps.

Here are a few more photos of the field for 2008, more to come.

Well done Mick, Chris and James, looks like you guys had a great time driving (going by the "getting air" shots).
Good to see my car still sneeking around the top ten.
Would love to hear some comments on the different cars from the drivers. :)

Thanks to all those involved, Manic, Mick, Chris and James, for a great round. Congratulations also to the top three, Sprint, Manic and Mcgregor. Amazingly my car went from being as low as 26th at the start to second on the final round, must try for more consistency next year.....

Is it just me, or did the winner of the round only do aprox 4 mins in total of track time, and the slowest only aprox 6 mins?
Heats look to be only just over 1 minute for the quick guys!

The race time is then setup on the system, aiming for 12 minutes total race time for each car. (that'd be 4 minute heats on a three lane track, three minute heats on a four lane track.....)

What happened to the 12min minimum?

Shoot, by the time it gets back down to Sidecar, it'll be the first car pulled out of the box will be the winner.
I used to be indecisive ...... but now i'm not so sure

Yep, round 3 is still on schedule. Looks like 4 minute heats, with each car running on each lane in turn. Voltage on Joe's track is 13.8, so they'll all get a good test. BTW, what voltage did round 2 run on??? Dave

I'm keeping a very low profile here, cars' going like s***,but if its possible my NSR's would certainly be in need of a clean, and dare I say it a little wipe of WD40(??).

Any chance of sacking that little plastic Ralf (the Teaspoon) Schumaker from my team and getting his big brother to drive my car?? :)

All tyres will be cleaned before each qualifying run and before each heat. Cleaning method will be a damp (with water) cloth. Pickup braids will be cleaned and straightened where necessary. Absolutely no chemicals will be used on tyres. Qualifying will be on Friday 2nd. Dave

As usual no follow up reports from the QLD boys

What is it with you guys?

Are you in too much of a rush to get back to licking the backs of cane toads to post any follow up reports.

I mean to say, it's not as if you didn't have enough time, what with the cars only running 30 laps in total.
