I would have liked to attend but couldn't commit the time to build/setup the cars required (you should see my workshop/track at the moment whilst I'm extending the house - not pretty). BTW for those interested, the race report for the 07 Adelaide GP is not quite complete yet but should be available soon. There is alot of imformation and data to go through and some 1000 photo's, so please be patient as this was a four day weekend event not a saturday night race on a home track over 2000's photos have to be sorted thru actually. including more than 280 Gig of video files, because the whole show was recorded on a 4 channel DVR. we had over 370 entries in total on both tracks. cracked at least another 9 Aussie track records on the Blue King. Handed out over $1500 in cash prizes in the non-scale Nats. And over $2,000- in prizes / apparel etc in the scale Nats. over 100 trophies were handed over the 5 days. and we were live on the web thru our web site, for those that were lucky enough to get logged in. What about Deb's kitchen which catered for up to 90 people in the shop on some days. She cooked from 9:00am till 9:00pm nearly every day. Then the cleaning up took two days. re-constructing the 2 smaller 4 lane tracks, is still work in progress. Then we helped King Willys Raceway move their Blue king to a new location on Friday from their upstairs shop. That nearly killed us. We're not that young anymore!!!! And most of all, we met some really great people from interstate. And I'd like to thank them all for making the trip to Melbourne, and supporting the first of many a National competition, wherever they may be held next. And a very special thanks to our sponsors ... Leeman Hobbies (Ninco/FLY Car Model), Armchair Racer (Slot.it), Sunset Racing Shells, Koford Engineering, Ace Hobbies and Plafit, MJK Engineering, Parma/PSE, Pro Slot and Zimblers (Carrera). They all donated stock / apparel and are featured on our 2008 Nats Pit shirt. Thanks Davnic for keeping the wolves at bay ... but quite simply ... we haven't had the time to digest all the pic's and info yet. And you know where to see them all when they become available. I have been telling everyone back here in Toowoomba about the fantastic venue that you have & the running was great. It would have been a logistical nightmare putting it all together so well done to you & your team of helpers. The Schnitzel burger was great too... I enjoyed myself & will be back for the next one with a few more from up here I reckon....
